"Now what?"

Noah turned his head to look at Alexa who had been racking her brain trying to understand the instructions looking at YouTube for the last ten minutes.

"OK! I got this." With full confidence, Alexa took out one egg from the egg tray.

"It's simple, we need to crack an egg in the bowl."

Very carefully Alexa held the egg with both her hands and slowly tried cracking it open. While Noah looked at her with his arms placed on the countertop and feet on a stool.

Both Noah and her were holding their breaths in anticipation.

"Done!" Alexa proudly kept the eggshells on the side and turned to look at Noah with a proud smirk on her face as if she just won a competition.

Scrunching his face, he turned his head to look at her in disappointment," You had ONE job."

Blinking her eyes she looked at the bowl and her eyes widened. Egg shells were lying in there.

Clearing her throat, she took out a spoon from the drawer, "That's fine, that can be mended."

Alexa spent the next five minutes trying to sort out the eggshells.

Noah slapped his forehead and shook his head, "How do you even manage to run such a huge corporation when you struggling to crack open a simple egg?"

Sending him a quick glare, Alexa grabbed her phone to look for further instructions.

"Okay. Now we need 1/4th cup of sugar and one pinch of salt."

She grabbed the two jars Catherine had placed in front of them.

Alexa stared at them for a few seconds, "Now which one is sugar and salt?'

Groaning she looked up at the ceiling in frustration," Why can't they label it?"

"Maybe because normal people actually can differentiate between sugar and salt," Noah said while shrugging his shoulders.

Glaring at him, Alexa clenched her teeth, "You need to shut up kiddo."

Huffing he turned to look back at the bowl.

"This must be the salt."

It took those two about half an hour to finally mix in all the ingredients before the flour.

"Now, we just need to mix in the flour. Where is it?"

"Here." Noah picked it up from his side

"Give me."

"No, I will open it."

"You can't open it."

"Why?"

Closing her eyes in frustration, Alexa tried keeping her cool, "Because you don't know how to."

"Well guess what? A few minutes ago you did not know how to crack open an egg. You still did it didn't you?"

The bell rang in the background, but both of them were too busy bickering for either of them to notice.

"Noah, don't test my patience. Give me that!!" She tried to grab the packet of flour from him.

"No!! I will open it!!"

Now both of them were holding onto it tightly, pulling the packet on their sides.

"Let go, Noah!!"

"NO! YOU LET GO!!"

Maybe the force they applied was a little too much because the next second the packet burst open making the flour land all over those two.

"NOAH!!!" Alexa let out a shout.

Catherine's footsteps came running, "What happened?! Are you two okay-"

And her words got stuck in her throat once her eyes landed on her precious kitchen.

The entire kitchen was a mess. First, there was flour scattered all over the kitchen from the floor to the countertop, and the two idiots that were making pancakes. Egg shells were lying in one corner and several utensils scattered all over the place. The lids of the jars lying open, none of the two even bothered to close them.

It was a disaster.

Catherine felt anger rushing through her veins.

"WHAT HAVE YOU TWO DONE TO MY KITCHEN?!!!"

Alexa and Noah both flinched at the same time. Noah jumped towards Alexa and held onto her for his dear life.

"Catherine-" Alexa tried to explain herself when she was cut off by a male's voice coming from Catherine's back.

"What are you two doing?"

The next second Christian entered the kitchen and his jaw dropped looking at the mess Alexa and Noah were in.

Alexa's eyes widened spotting him, "C-Christian? What are you doing here?"

Noah's reaction was nothing like that of Alexa's, he jumped out of her arms and sprinted towards Christian, and flung himself at him.

Christian reciprocated the hug and lifted Noah off his feet, "How are you champ?"

"I am great Christian, it's just this old woman who is the problem."

They heard a grunt coming from Alexa, "Can you stop calling me that?"

"Can you stop calling me 'kiddo'?" Noah stuck out his tongue at her and turned to face Christian.

He continues, "I have no clue why everyone praises her all the time and says she is talented. She can't tell stories, can't iron her clothes,..." and he listed all the tasks Alexa failed to do in the last week he stayed here," And lastly, today I learned not only she can't cook, SHE CAN'T EVEN MAKE PANCAKES! AFTER LOOKING AT THE INSTRUCTIONS ON TOP OF THAT."

A small smile formed on Christian's face and he slightly tilted his head to look at Alexa.

He noticed she was clearly embarrassed and even though her blush wasn't visible, he knew she was turning red.

Alexa cleared her throat and dusted off a little flour from her shoulder," I-I- will take a bath. I have to go to the office."

Avoiding eye contact she was about to make her way out of the kitchen when Christian grabbed her wrist and held her close.

Her eyes widened when he pulled her towards him. With Noah in one hand, Christian whispered dangerously close to her," But I wanted to taste your pancakes."

Alexa felt heat rushing to her face once again, as she realized dirty thoughts were occupying her brain.

Stop thinking! Stop thinking! Stop thinking! He means the pancakes made out of flour damn it!!

"I-I have no time to make pancakes for you," She stuttered while trying to pull her hand out of his grip.

"Oh common, it's almost complete, you just need to mix the flour!!" He whined while shaking her hands.

Sighing a little she looked at her state," At least let me take a bath."

"No need. You will ruin your clothes again. Just complete this and then you can go wherever you want to," he said while dusting off the flour from her hair and face.

Christian took Noah and sat at the counter with him. Turning his head he raised his eyebrow at Alexa," Common you are getting late."

Narrowing her eyes at him, Alexa hissed, "Don't order me around."

"I am not," Christian nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and helped Noah dust off the flour from him.

Groaning a little, Alexa turned to look at Catherine with pleading eyes but only got a glare in return.

Gulping Alexa turned back to the kitchen,

God, what did I get myself into?
