The Dragon's Mate

Chapter 9

Emerald smirks replying, "how cute, you remember me!". Emerald sees a tire iron in the dirt and uses her strength to pick it up. She uses her unleashed fury to swing the iron at his head as it smashes against his skull. He cries out as they both lay unconscious whilst the guy gets up amazed by her power. He says, "wow that was superb, who are you?" Emerald replies, "that doesn't matter, right now you need to run and find somewhere to hide." He says, "I won't forget you." He runs in the opposite direction as Emerald catches her breath however soon someone comes behind her saying, "oh there is nowhere for you to hide, Emerald." Emerald's body freezes hearing Damien's foul words in her ears as she thinks, 'oh god, he's behind me!' Emerald runs to the right and dodges him whilst Damien swipes left; Emerald takes off running as fast as her left can take her. 

She makes it to a torn-up amusement park saying, "there's nothing fun about being here...." Emerald is about to hide when something big hits her from behind, knocking the wind out of her. Damien says, "found you." He spins her around as she says angrily, "NO! Get off me!" Damien's eyes widen as a grin emerges on his face saying, "you are quiet the spicy little treat, let me have a taste." He drags his long, stale tongue up her neck as Emerald screams whilst Damien says, "mmmm, delicious." He tries to taste her again as Emerald says, "stop it or I will bite your cock off!" Damien says sarcastically, "ooh, I am so frightened, what are you going to do? Drown me in your tears? Now, let us have some proper fun!" He leans down, his mouth opens but then Damien is thrown off Emerald with the force of a bomb. Hunter eyes angrily stare at Damien saying, "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" Emerald looks at Hunter before running over to him as he shields her; Damien gets up and looks at Hunter with fury saying, "I caught her, that's the rule of this game, is it not?" Hunter replies, "my power is greater than the rules of this game, BACK OFF! Come closer, I dare you." 

Damien says, "all right, she is yours, I will catch that girl Lily instead, I can smell her a mile away.... She is covered in my scent already." Damien leaves as Hunter turns to Emerald asking, "are you ok, Emerald?" Emerald looks at Hunter replying, "I'm shaken with fear but it's nothing compared to how terrified Lily must be right now." Hunter is about to hug Emerald just as a scream rip through the night. Emerald says, "that's Lily! We must save her, please!" Hunter says, "this is not how things are done, every Dragon can only catch one slave!" Emerald says, "but you are not an ordinary Dragon! You are the Dragon King.... Rules do not apply to you! break the rules if you must." Hunter says, "I wish that were true...." Emerald gives Hunter a stern look saying, "you said it yourself; your power is greater than the rules of this game, was that a lie?" Hunter can feel the words hit him hard as he turns around and uses his power to locate the source of the scream. Hunter grabs Emerald's hand as they break into a sprint with Emerald barely able to keep up with him. 

They soon reach Lily and Damien as she is mortally wounded on the ground weakly saying, "E-E-Emerald!! H-Help!" Emerald has tears in her eyes seeing her best friend in agony as she clenches her fist looking at Damien with anger in her eyes. Hunter asks, "what do you wish to do, Emerald?" Emerald replies, "we have to save Lily, no matter what!" Hunter nods as Damien is about to attack Lily again saying, "hold it, Damien, you new slave caught my eye at dinner, I'd like a taste of her before you toss her away... after all, we did skip dessert." Damien says, "you already have a sweet treat as your feet, I am not giving you mine as well... however I would be delighted to trade." Emerald thinks, 'if it comes to it... I will make that trade; I do not care... nothing is as important to me than Lily's safety.' Emerald says, "that's not happening, Damien, you will hand her to both of us." Damien asks, "oh and why is that?" Hunter answers, "because I am your King, don't forget your place, Damien." Damien angrily glares at Hunter saying, "you owe me one, Hunter." Hunter's eyes wide before he transforms into his Dragon whilst Damien does the same. Damien soon flies off as Emerald comes over to Lily saying, "t-thank you, Emerald, you have always kept me safe."
