Chapter 57

Emerald says, "Hunter...I...." Hunter says, "Emerald... baby." His body pulses through his remaining clothes as she can see the outline of his desire straining to break free; reaching up Emerald tries to remove his clothes however Hunter holds her hand saying, "No, I will do it, you just stay like that," his voice is firm and commanding as Emerald nods as he removes his shirt and pants saying, "I can't hold back anymore... I've wanted this... I've wanted you... for so fucking long." Emerald says, "Hunter... I've wanted you, too." Hunter's hands move to her waist every ounce of her body aches with yearning for him as she can feel how badly he wants this too, how much he needs it. Hunter says, "I'm yours, you hear me? I am yours Emerald, no matter what they do to me, no matter what happens, you didn't have a choice before but now I am giving you one... choose me, choose me and we will make this bond whole, baby." Emerald says, "Hunter, I choose you, take me." A soft smile spreads across his lips at her words, his grip on her hips tightens. He says, "I will never forget those words." 

He enters into her body slowly, savouring her and filling her with a sensation in every touch; as he thrusts himself deeper into her she moans in delight as he says, "you're mine, baby." Emerald says, "I am yours, forever." Hunter says, "you mean that?." Emerald nods as he picks up the speed applying pressure and more pleasure into Emerald saying, "I never want to let you go, I never want this to stop." He groans, thrusting into her harder and harder, burying his face in her chest, she moans gripping him as he thrusts repeatedly before they soon feel an electric shockwave pass through each of their body as this calms down, they collapse on one another, breathless. Hunter asks, "are you ok?." Emerald replies with a smile, "that was amazing." Hunter says, "it was, just as amazing as I dreamed it would be, do you feel any different?." Emerald asks, "what do you mean?." Hunter replies, "well, normally... once two Dragons complete their bond...." She remembers something deep in her mind thinking, 'that's right, my mark should be complete, it should run down my back and my other arm.' Emerald turns her back to Hunter asking, "is there anything there?." Hunter says, "no." He drags his hand down her bare back still free of any Dragon's mark as she shivers. He says, "I don't know why, but... it's not there." Emerald says, "I see... that's a relief." Hunter says, "a relief, huh?." Emerald says, "only because it keeps you safer, who knows what they would do if it was complete...." Hunter says, "right... I won't forget you, Emerald no matter what, for as long as I am alive, I won't forget you." Emerald says, "listen, please we are going to get out of this, Hunter so don't promise-." Hunter says, "you have to go now, Emerald." Emerald says, "no, please just work with me, we can-." Hunter says, "stop it, Emerald! you are making this harder! Just go!." Emerald says, "I told you, I won't!." She flings her hand out and the candles in the cell surge into violent torches of flame. She thinks, 'what?!.' Hunter says, "this is...," then the flames coil through the air, dancing over her body as if becoming one with her bare flesh. 

Hunter says, "Emerald...." Emerald wonders, 'what is this... new power?,' in the wake of her passionate collision with Hunter, something mysterious is happening to her body as she feels a new level of control and connection to her power. She throws her hand up in the air as flames hurtles upward as though they are extensions of her arms blasting a blackened hole into the stone-carved ceiling. Hunter says, "Emerald... you...." Emerald says, "I think....I think I can control it now, Hunter." The power pulses within her vein as though it has its own heartbeat, its own lifeforce, it comes to her as though it has chosen her; she says, "this feels incredible like I am finally whole." Hunter smiles saying, "it is incredible.... you are incredible," suddenly they hear footsteps descending into the prison making her heart skip a beat as she wonders, 'how much time has passed?.' She asks, "is it... dawn?." Hunter says, "Emerald... leave me, you can get away now." Emerald shakes her head saying, "no, they are planning to execute you, I can't-." The footsteps are too close now, she closes her eyes and breathes her power away, donning into the robe as Hunter clenches his fist saying, "Damn it." He puts on his clothes as he says, "if you don't get out of here, what is the point of any of this?." Emerald replies, "the point is I will find a way to free us both." Hunter asks, "can't you see that it impossible? watching my brother hurt you like it did... it almost killed me, I can't go through that again, I can't let you go through that pain again, Emerald."
