Chapter 29

Damian grabs hold of her arm angrily saying, "how dare you rotten little bitch!." Emerald shoves Damian off as Lily swings the chain over his neck and squeezes; Lily says, "die you asshole! This is for Emerald, and this is from me too!." Damian growls saying, "I will kill you!." with a surge of his inhuman strength, Damian throws Lily off and lunges for Emerald who jumps back but not before he grabs her bandage and unravels it to reveal her Dragon's mark. Emerald says, "no." Damian says, "I fucking knew it, Hunter's mate bond is with a human slave? You will both pay for this very dearly." Emerald says. "not unless you survive." Damian asks, "what are you going to do? I could kill you here and now." He lifts Emerald in the air and shakes you with all his strength as she feels dizzy and weak before dropping Emerald on her head he says, "that's it Emerald, get used to this pain, the submission, it is the only think you will know from now on... I want you on your knees, between my legs when Hunter is executed." As Emerald lays unconscious on the floor she feels her mark burning as the feeling grows strong and stronger; she get up thinking, 'Hunter, is he close?.' Emerald shuts her eyes, finding the last of her strength as she calls out deep within her soul thinking, 'find me Hunter...I am here...please,' a loud bang interrupts Damian as the door is blown off as though it has just been exploded from a grenade through the dust and rubble, Hunter's shadow appears saying, "let go of her, now!." Damian says, "not a chance in hell." Fury radiates from Hunter's body as he grabs Lily out of the room to safety before soon coming back and notices the mark exposed on Emerald's arm. 

Emerald says sadly, "Hunter...s-save yourself." Hunter looks at her saying, "Emerald...." Damian says, "I always knew you did not have the gut to be King, Hunter but to be so weak that you bonded with a useless human? I have to say, it's astonishing even for you." Hunter says, "if you value your life I would let her go right now!." Damian replies, "why? planning to wed her? have kids with her?." Hunter's eyes flare purple as his body darkens and shifts as he grows into his lethal Dragon form. Damian isn't intimidated at all by Hunter's Dragon saying with a smirk, "two can play at this game." Damian transforms into his Dragon as Emerald sees them both saying, "oh my god." The two Dragons circle one another, slowly growling and snarling at each other as they soon begin to lunge at each other Damian bits Hunter's leg as Hunter slams Damian with his tail. Emerald says, "I can't just stay here waiting to be crushed." She looks around as she grabs the chain Lily was holding earlier and lashes Damian with them as hard as she can. He roars with fury as they smack against his back before he turns on her as she stumbles back unable to meet his eye as he prepares to attack Emerald; purple sparks fly out from Hunter's mouth ready to burn Damian alive however he holds back. Emerald looks at Hunter thinking, 'I can feel his worry, he is scared he will burn me.' Emerald looks at the Dragon's mark and remembers the power from the cave as she gets up saying, "Hunter, use your fire." 

Hunter feels the confidence in Emerald's voice as he unleashes purple flame at Damian. Damian senses his death is near and transforms back into his human form and avoids the fire however he is unaware of Emerald's power as she closes her eye and give herself to the flame feeling every vein spark with power within her. Emerald says, "you are mine to destroy." The purple flame surround Damian who is confused by what is happening around him as Emerald says, "You have underestimated me for the very last time, Damian... any last words?." Damian looks at her saying, "yeah, you will never hear me scream bitch!." Emerald says, "do you want to bet, Damian?." Damian replies, "try all you want, little freak I don't know what kind of sorcery this is, but it will not kill me." Emerald's eyes turn purple as she says, "let's see then." Emerald's body begins to fill with power as she commands Damian to scream as he says, "never-." The flames burn brighter, hotter than ever before melting his flesh as Emerald yells out, "SCREAM!." The flames grow deeper and sear slowly burning him as he soon begins to feel agony and screams out before soon turning into dust. Hunter shifts back into his human form and watches as Damian is finally destroyed. Emerald's eyes return back to normal as she feels dizzy and is about to faint when Hunter comes over to her and holds her saying, "Emerald...."
