The Dragon's Mate

Chapter 70

Emerald goes over as the High Priest says, "welcome, all we gather here to unite our Dragon King to his mate and queen, Emerald." The Priest opens his arms wide welcoming Hunter to speak as he takes Emerald's hand. Hunter says, "Emerald... when you think your life is going to be short-lived, you treat everyday differently so you can imagine how empty I felt when those short days were grey, lifeless and without hope that all changed when I met you, when I touched you and something unknown bonded us together thank you for making each day bright and worth living for showing me I had a future beyond the one laid out for me, I can't wait to unveil each new day ruling by your side". Emerald says with tears in her eyes, "Hunter that was so sweet." Hunter says, "it's my truth, baby." Emerald says, "now it's my turn I will be the first to admit, the way we met was unusual, Hunter those early days were dangerous for us both, I will never forget the cruelty we suffered trying to protect one another but I would choose those dangerous and difficult days all over again, for you now that we are on the other side, I promise to shield you from danger as often as I can and I will love you to the end of my days". Hunter leans and kisses her which is deep and tender that it makes Emerald feel as though they are both floating. He then brings out his fangs as he whispers, "this won't hurt, I promise." Emerald says, "I trust you." Ever so slowly and ever so gently Hunter pierces her skin with his fangs in the draconic tradition as his promise is kept as she feels nothing but slight pleasurable pressure of his affection until her Dragon's mark awakens, the runic markings sing with his connection shining and euphoric. Then, to everyone's shock the earth shakes, a distant boom leaves Emerald gasping as they all see the volcano erupt with lava as the High Priest says, "this has not happened in over a thousand years," everyone including the High Priest stares at her and Hunter slowly lowering themselves onto their knees. 

Hunter says, "it is time for your crown, my Queen." He holds out two crowns as he says, "this one I had forged fresh in the shape of the rising sun to symbolise a new dawn that you are ushering in and this crown is ancient, worn by generations of Dragon Queens." Emerald says, "I don't understand, why two? are they a pair or a test?." Hunter replies, "no, they are both for you I just want to offer you the choice you are free, and you are a ruler, it's only right that you have one of these and that you decide, which would you like to wear as out new Dragon Queen?." Emerald says, "I would like the new crown as for me this symbolises a fresh start with all the previous troubles left far behind." Hunter says, "I couldn't agree more." He turns to everyone saying, "my Queen has chosen the new crown to symbolise a new beginning for Dragons and humans, do you agree?." Cheers, whistles, and applause resound filling the air and spreading across the land; Hunter turns to Emerald asking, "you ready to get out of here?." Emerald replies, "I'd thought you never ask." Hunter says, "that's my girl." Emerald says, "one second." She runs over to Lily giving her the bouquet and says, "it's your turn next, bestie." Lily blushes at Josh who winks at her with a smile. As Emerald nods to Hunter who runs to the edge of the cliff diving off its ledges and shifting into his Dragon form as Emerald picks up her dress and runs before jumping off the edge of the cliff with no fear before soon landing gracefully on Hunter's back as he soars off into the distance. Emerald runs her hand down Hunter's powerful draconian neck, kissing his scales as he practically purrs beneath her with an elated roar, Hunter arcs over the volcano and dives into its centre. The ash, magma, fire and smoke it is all one with Emerald as it tickles her skin with feather-light grace. Emerald thinks, 'that's right I'm not normal but remarkable,' she reaches out to run her fingers beneath the dripping magma of the volcanic wall as she feels the tingle and delighting sensation leaving a light trail of coal in their wake from her touch. Hunter transforms back to human self as he says, "you're sexy." Emerald says, "I've been known to take down a Dragon or two, in my time." Hunter smirks saying, "sounds like a challenge, I've waited long enough it is time for me to claim my prize." Emerald says, "we've both waited long enough, take me my King." Hunter replies, "your wish is my command, my Queen." Emerald removes her dress as Hunter removes the royal robes before he opens Emerald's bra and removes her knickers; she bucks beneath him as he takes her into his mouth pinching and flicking her nipple with his tongue he moans out, "mmmm", he sinks down out of sight urging her thighs apart with his hands saying, "open for me, Emerald show me what's finally mine", breathing hard she parts her legs as Hunter slides his hand slowly up her inner thighs higher and higher as he kisses her before slowly trailing every inch of her body throbbing with desire as she moans, "Hunter!". Hunter says, "let me hear that voice of yours, over the roar of this volcano." Emerald moans deeper as he lifts her kissing her neck and then thrusting himself into her as she says, "Oh, God, Hunter, please!." Hunter says, "that's it, that's my girl." He spins her around cupping her ass and squeezing it as she gasp before spinning back and raising her hip as Hunter enters slowly inch by inch as Emerald arches herself back lost in the feeling of his rippling touch. He takes the lava in his hand as he slowly paints it onto her body which makes her gasp; she grips Hunter's shoulders hard as he thrusts again with each bone-melting movement she sinks deeper into the bed of magma. 

Hunter says, "I love you so much," Emerald leans back trusting Hunter completely as her hair skims the churning lava magically unburnt as he takes her with a slow deliberate thrust before picking up the speed as she wraps her legs around him holding him deep inside her. Hunter's breathing grows ragged as he pulls Emerald close as pleasure and devotion rise like a fire within her, she screams as he kisses her with passion. Hunter says, "I could look at you forever like this, so small but so powerful, my fire-kissed Queen." Emerald says, "it's a good thing we have forever then, my King." They nuzzled into each other's arms finally after a long time and when they soon have the strength they dress and soar out of the volcano; Emerald thinks he is going to bring her back to the party, but he takes her somewhere else. Emerald asks, "where are we going?." Hunter replies, "it's a surprise!." They fly to a private moonlit cove where the waves lap softly upon the shore cooling them instantly when they dip their toes in. Emerald asks, "what is this place?." Hunter replies, "just somewhere quiet, I want you all to myself even if its just for one more night." Emerald turns to Hunter saying, "this is lovely Hunter and a perfect area.... to tell you something." Hunter asks, "what is it, baby?." Emerald bites her lips, turning the skirt of her wedding dress over in her hand as she slides Hunter's palm over her stomach. Hunter feels a bump as he says, "Emerald...are you...?." Emerald nods replying, "yes, we are having a baby, Hunter I found out last week." Hunter goes still his sharp jaw hanging open in shock at her words as he says, "Y-you're...." Emerald says, "pregnant, yeah... are you happy?." Hunter replies, "Happy? Are you kidding?." Hunter sinks down to his knees and kisses her stomach with an elated breathless laugh saying, "I've never been happier in my life." Emerald replies, "really?." Hunter replies, "really, Emerald you have brought me more happiness than I ever thought possible." Emerald says, "but this baby... will be the first of their kind, half-Dragon and half-human." Hunter says, "yes, and that's beautiful they will be a living symbol of our love, of all you have done to change this ruthless world." Emerald trails her fingers down the mark which bounds her to him as Hunter says, "and if they are lucky, they will have your beauty, your kindness...." Emerald says, "and your bravery and fierce spirit..." Hunter places his head on Emerald as he says, "the spirit of a girl who tamed the Dragon King." Emerald thinks whilst nuzzling Hunter's face, 'no matter how our worlds collided I'm glad that they did and no matter what happens I will forever be the Dragon's mate.'
