Sorry for not posting in a hundred fuckin years. I don't even have an excuse I just forgot.

I finish loading gear into the wagon as we prepare to leave. A soldier from the southern camp of wall sina had arrived a few hours ago to inform us that wall rose has been breached.

The fellow Scouts of the 104th were stationed in that camp while Jean and I stayed behind to recover from the fight with Annie. Mikasa and Armin stayed as well to look after us and report on the battle.

Y/n had left with the others, meaning my thoughts were completely preoccupied with worry for her. I know she's strong and entirely capable, but I don't like it when she's not around.

On top of everything else, Hange and Armin had made a discovery. Annie had left a hole in the wall when she fell from where her fingers were embedded in it. Inside the opening was the face of a titan, a titan bigger than the colossal.

"Someone tell me what this means." I say as I take a seat on the wagon next to Mikasa.
"I don't know," Armin replies. "But they're titans right? Would they break a wall with titans in it?"

"Wouldn't be the first time." I respond, resting my hands on my knees. "It's how they got into Shiganshina."
Armin shakes his head slightly, "that was a gate."

"Armin...what exactly are you getting at?" Mikasa asks, leaning forward. Armin furrows his brows as he thinks. "The walls are different, there are no signs of stress, no cracks, no crevices between the rocks, we can't even really tell how they were constructed."

He looks up to meet our eyes. "Suppose the walls are made up of the same stuff Annie trapped herself in, it must be versatile material and we know it's virtually indestructible."

"So the walls...are made of titans?" I murmur. It's hard to believe but the proof is right there. All this time, titans have been protecting us from other titans.

"Sorry to keep you waiting! Took longer to prepare then I thought." The voice of Commander Hange calls to us. I look over to see her waving, the Captain and a man with the walls emblems around his neck walking behind her.

"He's a-he's a priest from the order of the walls." Armin states in disbelief as the three sit down opposite us. Hange grins, "I know! Old Nick and me are thick as thieves." she laughs, wrapping an arm around the man, who looks less inclined to share Hange's enthusiasm.

"Makes just as much sense for him to be here as the rest of us, don't you think?" Hange asks. "We're random."
"No, on the contrary, Erwin's thrown us together for a reason." the Captain replies.

A loud noise echoes behind us as the gate rises. Commander Erwin calls over the rows of soldiers, "the status of wall rose is unclear, but everything up to Ehrmich is safe. That's the route we'll be taking, let's move out!"

"Yes sir!" the soldiers call out, following behind him as they exit through the gate.

The wagon lurches forward as we move out, the torches of the soldiers riding horses flaming bright in the dark. Soon after we leave the wall behind, Hange tells us all about the priest's reason for being here. How he knew about the titans being in the walls and how much he's still keeping from us. The priest hasn't said a word so far.

"You're kidding. This guy knew? And he kept quiet?" I shout. Hange nods, "uh huh, afraid so. Just about sums up where we are with him. He's not willing to talk yet, but we'll see how he feels after a harsh dose of reality. Faith keeps him quiet, first hand experience though..."

"To hell with that." I push myself up and lean forward on a box of gear in the middle of the wagon. "If this son of a bitch knows something he needs to come out with it. Humanities on the brink of extinction but all you care about is keeping your oath?" I yell at the priest. His eyes narrow as he drops his head, unwilling to meet my eyes.
