Mark and Liam walked through the forbidden forest, able to avoid detection, and avoid getting detention. They walked across the woods, passing by who knows how many trees, they stop at a certain spot.

"Alright 'son of Voldemort', why the hell are we out here?" Asked Liam.

"Based on what I know, Tom Riddle was the heir of Slytherin, a descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself, which then descended to the Gaunt family, then him, and now me, and many of us, can speak to snakes." Said Mark. "I don't like this ability, because I feel the worst parts of me coming out of the darkness, I feel it come to surface."

"Well, there aren't any snakes around here in this forest, so how the hell are you going to make your case?" Asked Liam, suddenly, a growling noise was heard behind them, they turn back and see a wolf like creature covered in black shadowy fur,  and red eyes like fire staring at the two, it was a Mongrel, a creature that has no remorse, and no empathy. "Mark, we need to run." Liam runs away, but stops and turns back as he sees Mark pointing his wand at the creature. "Mark, what are you doing?! We need to run!" Mark then closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

"Serpensortia!" Yelled Mark, as a snake comes out of his wand, it hisses at the mongrel, then it faces Mark, making eye contact with him, and he making contact back, they seem to have an understanding bond. "Lord forgive me...Attack the mongrel." The snake then turns to the mongrel and starts attacking, making swift maneuvers, making fast movements, managing to bite every furry bit that he can. The mongrel was now covered in snake bites, limping away as he runs off into the woods. Mark then looks at the snake. "Back into the wand." The snake then jumps up at mark and then towards his wand as he then flies inside it. Marks blue eyes turned red for a brief second, he takes a deep breath and regained his self control. Liam, witnessing the whole thing, looks at mark with a shocked expression.

"You just...you just talked to the snake!" Yelled Liam.

"Parseltoungue, most of Slytherin's descendants can do that." Said Mark.

"Then...you were telling the truth! You're the son of....you're the son of Voldemort!" Yelled Liam, as Mark tries to calm him down.

"Quiet! Not everyone knows!" Mark whispered.

"You're the son of Voldemort! What the hell are you doing at Hogwarts?!" Yelled Liam.

"That's what I want to know!" Yelled Mark. "One minute I was hiding in New York, then Dumbledore showed up with a letter, and now suddenly, I'm a student here!"

"Dumbledore knows who you are?!" Yelled Liam.

"Yeah, also Snape but that's it." Said Mark.

"Mark, this is...this is insane!" Said Liam, trying to find the right words. Mark then gives him a reassuring look.

"Liam, you can't tell anyone else about this. We are entering dark times as we speak." Said Mark. "If anyone finds out...the ministry might probably kill me."

"Can't they hear your side of the story?" Asked Liam.

"The ministry is too afraid of the possibility of my dad's return, I don't think they'll give me a chance to explain myself. My existence, my heritage, it's basically a crime." Said Mark. "You have to promise me you won't say anything." Liam looks down and ponders what Mark said.

"...okay." He said. "You don't seem to be much like your father."

"I don't want to be like him, I just want to live my life." He said. "I understand if you won't trust me again after this, but I was glad to be your friend."

"You still are." Said Liam. "And I'd be more than happy for you to be that still...you still have a place here, Mark." He said, Mark didn't know what to say, but he knew one thing, he still had a friend with him. "Come on, we have to get back to Hogwarts before someone sees us. Let alone a professor...or a Slytherin Student. No offense."
