Law had nothing against routine.
It wasn't that he didn't like surprises, but rather that to learn medicine, one had to stick to studying a lot of theories and staying informed, constantly.
So, of course, his playtime with Lammy and friends was limited, but unfortunately it was a necessary sacrifice if he was to become a doctor.
Law wanted to help his parents as soon as he could.
But tonight, as he studied the latest book he had found at the bookstore, Law couldn't concentrate.
His eyes riveted on the double-glazed window in front of his desk, he seemed to see Alessia's face bent over one of his shoulders, aching from the pace of his life.
Alessia was just a girl, a friend for a while, but she had promised to come back, and he believed her. However, things didn't stop there. Yes, he missed her, but he had never missed anyone so much that he abandoned a nest of paper knowledge he had just bought.
For goodness sake! What had she done to him?
He had spent days glaring at her, watching her every move to justify his hatred. But Alessia had been a nice girl with whom Lammy had eventually formed real bonds.
And now he was starting to think about her again in the middle of the evening, just as he was about to finish his book.
It really wasn't like him.
This was definitely not like him.
He decided to stretch his legs a little and wandered through the hospital corridors, passing room two hundred and ten, where Alessia had spent her time when she had avoided him. It wasn't that late, but visiting hours had been over for a while.
He knocked on the door involuntarily.
"Come in," echoed the voice of the elder from the other side.
