"... I passed the news to Faidan, but he was already stuck with the Navy, and Rossinante's information had just been made public. So... I left our island as well and tried to gather information on all the slavers in the area. I wanted—I didn't want anyone else to go through what happened to you. By chance, I met Ariane, Hobbs, and Senya, and when Faidan went to Dressrosa, things sort of fell into place... We managed to trace the network in the sector to a certain island, and that's where I met one of the Revolutionary commanders. They offered us to join them and... we accepted."

In this world, most postal workers were Martin the Postman, whose main job was to distribute Morgans' newspaper. Entrusting letters containing such sensitive information to the subordinates of a criminal emperor would have been too risky; even pirates most often used messengers. Thus, Alessia had never really known what was happening in Lance's life, apart from knowing he was well.

"You've grown up, you've become strong... The commander and Koala even told me that you fought a lookalike of that guy, it's crazy! I—what I mean is, I wish I had been there for you. So, if you want to talk about what happened or anything else, I—I'm here, okay?"
She nodded, giving him a faint smile.
She wanted to express her emotions, her gratitude, find the right words now that they had finally reunited, but no sound escaped her lips as she nestled against his shoulder.
