"Watch it," Sophia warns Crabbe and Goyle when they push past her as she enters the Slytherin common room. She frowns watching them rush away then continues down the steps into the room, "What's up with them?" She asks her brother standing against the sofa opposite him.

Draco shrugs, "Don't know, they were acting very odd. Where have you been?" It's past curfew so she shouldn't have been out of the dormitory and with the whole chamber of secrets thing going on...

"Dumbledore's office. Apollo managed to escape the common room and ran off, ending up in the Ravenclaw common room. Someone brought him to Dumbledore," She hadn't been overly worried, other people's pets roam Hogwarts freely but Apollo usually keeps to the Slytherin common room, "You ready for the Christmas holidays?" She asks him because she is terrified. Meeting her parents for an afternoon is one thing but a whole week is another thing entirely.

"Should be great, with you around Mother and Father should be in a good mood," They've always tried to be happy whenever Draco is at home and of course they love him but there had always been a looming cloud that Sophia wasn't there too.

When Saturday came to go home, Sophia sat in one of the train compartments alone. Daphne and Tracey had been sitting with her but they went to find some of their other friends.

The train horn sounds signalling that they are coming into Kings Cross, she gets up to grab her stuff and Draco stops at the compartment door, "I'll see you outside Flourish and Blotts in a couple of days." She nods and follows him off the train.

As agreed Sophia meets Hermione on the platform. Despite what Ron said in the Great Hall the pair remain great friends, "I don't envy you staying at Malfoy Manor, you'll have to write and tell me about it."

"Oh I will but the next time you see me I could be a Malfoy. I promise we will still be friends, that family trait is something I refuse to inherit even if it means never being accepted by them. I still have my mum and dad," She hugs her and they part ways with their parents.

"We're glad to have you home Soph," Anna hugs her.

"I'm glad to be home, I have so much to tell you."

Sophia spends a couple of days with her muggle parents having an early Christmas with them. On the day she's set to meet Narcissa and Draco she goes to Diagon Alley and waits at the meeting spot.

Looking in the shop window someone taps her on the shoulder, Draco, "Hi Sis."

She smiles hearing him call her Sis, "Hey."

"Come on, Mother is waiting in Madam Malkin's," He leads her in that direction and Narcissa is waiting outside when they get there.

"Ah Draco there you are and you found Sophia. How are you dear? We've been looking forward to this day," Sophia gets the feeling she wants to be a bit more open but keeps an elegant air in public.

"I've been very well thank you," She smiles and follows the pair to a quiet alley.

"Have you ever apparated before my dear?"

Sophia shakes her head, "Well you have to have a licence for it but you can travel alongside a licensed adult and it's the quickest method of travel. Hold on to my arm, I will warn you some people can feel a bit sick the first few times," She holds Narcissa's hand something that makes the woman smile then it's like a twisting feeling and she's in the grounds of a huge Manor house.

"What do you think dear? I would usually apparate inside but I thought you would like to see the outside of the Manor."

It took a minute for the dizzy feeling to stop then Sophia took a proper look. She expected it to be dark and creepy but it's light, the gardens are filled with colour despite the winter weather, "It's beautiful."
