"Sophia!" Hermione calls for her before she can enter the great hall.
"I'll meet you in there," She advises her friends to go on ahead and starts walking down the centre of the hall with Hermione.
"Why were you and Draco taken to Dumbledore's office?"
"Draco knows the truth and so do his parents," She feels better knowing that weight is off her shoulders, "And the second-year Slytherins know too though not by choice."
"How do you feel about it?"
"I feel lighter but I'm meeting with my parents properly over the weekend so I can get to know them."
They reach Hermione's normal spot at the Gryffindor table and the brunette chooses the wrong time for her next sentence, "So will you go by Sophia Malfoy now?"
"You're a Malfoy?" Ron speaks loud enough to get the attention of those on his end of the Gryffindor and behind him on the Hufflepuff table, "As if one Malfoy wasn't bad enough, now there are two."
"Ron!" Hermione warns but Sophia stops her.
"It's okay, yes I am a Malfoy and Draco's twin sister. Though I didn't know until last year that he was my family," She smiles a little to herself calling him family. She sees a side of him that no one else does. Even more so now he knows they're related, "I was taken from them the night I was born."
"At least you got to find them again," Harry smiles, he would give anything to meet his parents so he envies Sophia. He can see that she is nothing like Draco.
Ron not so much, "Now that you're back with them you'll become pureblood prejudice and be in league with you know who by the end of the year. So why don't you do Hermione a favour and go back to your Slytherin friends and leave us alone."
"Ron that's enough," Hermione tells him off.
"And pretending a muggleborn too," Another Gryffindor pipes, "No wonder you're in Slytherin."
For some reason, the guts she had to stand up to Pansy have gone now. Forgetting about lunch she makes a swift exit from the hall.
Wanting somewhere to hide she heads down to the black lake and sits leaning against a bolder, hiding herself from view. It's not very Malfoy or Slytherin but she couldn't care less.
She's sat there for most of the afternoon no one has noticed her but Draco finds her at what she can assume is the end of the school day, "Sophia, I've been looking for you everywhere. Are you alright?" He sits beside her putting his hand on hers to get her attention
"I'm fine," She looks away from him knowing her eyes are still red and puffy. She's not sure why Ron's words affected her some much maybe it was just a build-up of everything but she couldn't stop the silent tears.
"Tell that to your hands, they're freezing. Having you been out here all afternoon?" He wraps his scarf around her neck and gives her his gloves. His parents would kill him if he let her die of hypothermia hours after they had her back.
"I guess, I know crying isn't very Slytherin or Malfoy but I couldn't help it so I came down here and just lost track of time."
"Well, if it makes you feel better, Ron tried to hex me and it backfired on him and he's spent the entire afternoon puking up slugs."
"Ew," She screws her nose up laughing, "Why did he try to hex you?"
"I was on my way to Quidditch practice with the team and we met the Gryffindor team along the way one thing led to another Ron and Hermione butted in I said something about Hermione then Ron tried to hex me."
