Harper hated how Eleanor had come between her and Tom. There had been so much tension between them both and harper hated it.

She knew how she had been trying to do all she could to make her family work. Not just for her. But for Sofia too.

She wanted her little girl to have the family she never did. She wanted to give her the best. And she knew Tom did. But Eleanor was really trying to mess it all up.

She hated that she and Tom barely spoke. He had been staying in the spare bedroom. Eleanor had threatened to get the LEA involved at the school.

Harper knew it was her way of trying to control everything. And she wasn't going to let her get away with it.

All she knew was that things were going to change. One way or another. And she was going to do all she could to make sure Eleanor stopped coming between her and Tom. Even if it was the last thing she did.

Morning came all too soon for her. She woke and saw Tom sitting on the bed. She looked to him and sighed. "Are we okay? It just feels like there's a huge strain between us right now. And I'm not sure I like it," she said.

Tom turned to her. He sighed. "I think we are. Eleanor. She's a friend of mine. And I know you think she's coming between us. But she isn't. I'm friends with Madison and you don't seem to mind that.",

"Madison has a daughter with another man. And she's my best friend. She isn't coming between us tom."

"I'm sorry to say. But you're being dramatic now." 

"I'm being dramatic? I don't think I am. Your so called friend is coming between us. And you're too far up her arse you can't see it," she said as she climbed out of bed and left the bedroom.

She was beginning to hate Eleanor. And she didn't hate a lot of people.

Harper walked into the staff room. She saw Madison who looked to her and frowned. "Do I need to tell Max to expect a dead body to turn up?" She asked.

Harper shook her head and sighed. "Not yet. But if Eleanor keeps coming between my relationship, I will kill her. And I'm not even kidding anymore. I'm sick to death of this now Mads. It's not even funny."

Madison smiled. "If it helps, Max wants to ring his  head. She's called the LEA on the school. And you know that means. His ex."

"God I could kill her. I honestly could."

Eleanor walked in. She smiled. "Wouldn't be talking about me would you?" She asked.

"You're not that special. Now do one," Madison said. She hated seeing her best friend so upset after all that she had been through with Tom.

Eleanor smirked and walked off. She knew she was getting to her.

Harper was sitting in her classroom. She looked up as Tom walked in. He sighed. "I know I've been a little harsh. But I don't want to lose you," he said.

"Me either. I love you."

"I love you too."

The two of them kissed. Harper hoped this was the beginning of things turning around for them both. Unaware of how Eleanor was making one final attempt to ruin her relationship with Tom.
