"Hey Quinn, you up?" I yelled as I made my way from my room to Quinn's.

"Dude! Get out of bed! We have a lot of shit to do, and time is running out." I demanded as I yanked the covers from Quinn's sleeping body.

"What the fuck Alec!"

"Well, someone needs to eat their Wheaties and get the hell up!" I responded to Quinn laughing.

Quinn opened his eyes and stared at me.

"Um... okay why the hell are you so cheery? You finally get laid or something?" Quinn asked trying to get arise out of me.

"Ha-ha you're so funny. Now, stop being a lil bitch, are you getting your ass out of bed by yourself or am I going to have start flipping shit in your room?" I leaned against the wall while grinning and placing my hand on his nightstand.

"So, help me God if you turn that damn nightstand over!" he started to glare at me.

"Three...two..." I started my countdown.

"Alec! Just get the fuck...."

"One!" I interrupted his violent words to finish my count down.

The nightstand came crashing down, making a louder noise than I expected.

"I'm going to fucking kill you!" Quinn said as he jumped out of bed and took off after me.

"Quinn, was that a vibrator I saw fall out of the drawer?" I asked as I took off running down the hall.

Quinn stopped dead in his tracks and stared at me at the other end of the hallway.

"Wait a minute. I know what you did." Quinn started walking closer to me.

"You went numb, didn't you?" he asked, reaching his hand out, placing it on my shoulder.

I looked at his hand and shrugged it off of me.

"We have a job to do. I owe Fletch and all my feelings were just getting in the way, so yeah, I went numb." I turned and walked towards the front door.

"You coming or you just going to stand there looking like a fuck tard?" I motioned for Quinn to hurry the hell up.

We made it to the cemetery to check on the headstones I marked the night before. There they were, all of them, all of our Grave diggers. We stood in front of them as they turned their attention on us.

"There are twenty of them as of right now and that's only half a night's work." I glanced over at Quinn while cracking a smile.

"We need more Alec."

"I said this was only half a night's work Quinn. I still have fifteen more nights before the second step of the ritual will be completed."

"You say that as if it's a lot of time. Brother, you know you're cutting it close. Almost too close." Quinn whistled for the diggers to follow him, which they did.

"I'm taking them back for training. We need more Alec!" he yelled as he disappeared into the shadows, Gravediggers following him closely.

I turned to continue my search in the overly crowded cemetery, looking and feeling for magic energy. With each headstone I touch I could feel the power inside of me growing stronger. Now that my feelings were out of the way, my senses were heightened, and I felt more powerful than I ever have.

"Alec!"

I turned around slowly as I heard my name.

"Well look who it is." I replied with a twisted grin appearing on my face.

Kymber and her little posse of wannabes were standing in front of me.

"Looks like your still missing one, well make that two. I guess Millie couldn't hang around." I laughed as the cruel words left my tongue.

Kymber glared at me as if something were wrong with me.

"Alec, what happened to you?" she asked with concern in her voice.

"I haven't felt as good as I do now in a long ass time Kymber."

"Keep running your mouth and we will see how good you feel after I'm done with you!" Kymber snapped at me.

"You don't stand a chance against me little girl. Now run along and play with some demons. I have work to do and you're wasting my time." I turned to walk away.

I could hear her footsteps running towards me from behind. With one swift move of my hand, she flew back, her friends catching her. I turned around and repeated myself.

"Run along now. Do not waste my time anymore."

"Alec Stop!"

Taking a deep breath, I turned around to face them.

"This isn't you! I know this isn't you!" Kymber yelled at me.

"You're wrong Kymber. This is exactly who I am supposed to be."

I raised my right hand, my palm facing the ground, I clenched my fist and motioned down, focused on the keepers, they all hit the ground cracking the pavement.

I walked away; a grin plastered on my face as I heard them gasping for air.

"Alec! Alec!"

I ignored them crying out my name, disappearing in the night to continue my work creating Gravediggers.
