"Wake up sleepy head!"

I opened my eyes to see Danielle smiling at me.

"Well, hello there." I said with sleep hanging on every word.

"Do you know what today is?" she asked with overwhelming excitement.

"I don't even know what day of the week we are on Danielle. For fucks sake what time is it?" I asked as I tried to wipe the sleepiness from my eyes.

"How could you forget that tonight is Party night!" she yelled as she fell backwards on my bed.

"Shit, already?" I asked confused to how it's already been two months since our last night out.

"Yes ma'am. Its Party night and you my dear friend are going this time!" she demanded as she pouted at me, trying to make me feel guilty for not going the last time they all went out.

"How about you go and live it up and tell me how it goes." I said with false hope and sarcasm.

"Really? You don't want to go tonight either?" she cocked her head to the side and started to resemble a fucking puppy.

"Look one step at a time Danielle. I have been keeping up with work and Grave keeping, right now that's all I'm worried about. Watching all of you get drunk and act like fools just doesn't seem as exciting to me anymore. You go out with the others and have an exciting time. I want you to tell me all about it when you get home okay." I tried to lay back down hoping she would take no for an answer.

"Get your mother fucking ass out of that bed, get your damn clothes on, and get your ass out that door! Please..." Her eyes were now big and watery looking; fucking puppy looking asshole.

"Fine." I said as I grunted getting out of bed, protesting the whole way to my bathroom.

With my hair brushed and straight, make up done lightly, wearing my skintight mini skirt and red blouse I headed to the door to meet my misfits.

"Holy shit!" Liz yelled as I walked down the hallway, my heels tapping on the wood floor with every step I took.

"What?" I asked embarrassed.

"You don't look dead!" She screamed with excitement.

"Can we just go already?" I asked as I walked out the door.

"Yeah, I agree, let's get the hell out of here and get some drinks!" Aleena said with enthusiasm.

We arrived at the club, hotter than anyone else there.

"No one stray away and stay inside, okay?" I requested as they all went their separate ways upon entering the front doors.

I sat at the bar for once, ordering straight vodka. I looked around the club to check on my misfits, Danielle all over some guy like always, Kymber dancing in the middle of the floor, oversized drink in her hand, Liz hitting on some clueless girl; I swear she gets laid more than a tampon and Aleena joining Kymber on the dance floor.

My eyes started to drift as the DJ put on a slower song, one with heartbreak in the lyrics. I downed my shot of vodka and hurried to order another one when I looked across the bar and saw him...

My heart sank and felt like it was beating out of my chest all at the same time. His eyes met mine and I could sense his heart do the same.

'I can't do this...' I thought as I stood up and started walking to the door.

"Wait!" I could hear his voice call out for me, but I continued to walk, it felt as if I was running at this point. I made it outside, breathing in the cool night air as I felt my heart start breaking all over again. Rain started to pour down as I walked faster and faster down the wet street, I could feel him running behind me, trying to catch up. I managed to make it to the front of my house before finally responding to him.
