It's been weeks since I last saw Alec and the gang of assholes he leads. I still feel angry and stupid most of all. Stupid that I allowed him to distract me; that I allowed him to push my buttons to the point I couldn't sense the demon coming up behind me. Why didn't he just finish me off without delay? Who in the hell was the shadow walking away that saved me from the demon? I have so many unanswered questions that I will probably never have an answer for.

"You coming Everylnn, or are you just going to stand there with a blank look on your face?"

I snapped back to reality to notice Kymber looking at me with anticipation on her face waiting to enter the club we were letting loose at tonight.

"Yeah" I said with a chuckle.

"Let's go have fun for once."

We entered the doorway of a lit-up building. Beer signs glowing everywhere, dance music blaring, Danielle chatting it up with some random guy. I guess her genre of human tonight is stripper because that is exactly what she looks like.

Kymber and I finally made it to our corner of the club. Liz, Aleena, and Millie were sitting on the brown leather couch in our corner giggling and gossiping about the girls in the club, Danielle being one of them. "You see a girl you like yet Liz?" I asked humored by my own question.

"Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. Just know if a sock is on the door..."

"Okay, okay! I'm sorry I asked!" I responded before she could even finish her sentence.

"When are you going to start looking for someone Eves'?" Millie asked with an innocent look on her makeup covered face.

"Yeah, I mean maybe if you got laid you wouldn't be so... what do you call it?" Aleena smarted off.

"A bitch." Liz busted out laughing.

"Ha-ha your funny." I responded with a smart-ass tone.

"Alright everyone! Let's let loose and forget for a while." Kymber said with a slightly over sized drink in her hand.

Liz and Millie took off to the dance floor; Kymber went to the bar, drink in hand, more than likely setting her sights on something or someone she found interest in. Danielle was hiding in a corner with the random she picked up when she walked in. Lord knows what the hell they are doing. Aleena went to the bar and grabbed the biggest drink they had, dancing her way back onto to middle of the dance floor, guys falling over her as her body moved with the music. I walked over to the bar and order a Bloody Mary. I never used to drink, until the dreams started happening. Now I find myself craving alcohol by the time we get to have a night out. We do this once a month when the moon is brand new. It is almost impossible for anything to resurrect with a new moon.

I grabbed my drink and headed to the roof. It was peaceful on the roof. No loud music, no annoying humans. Just me. I sat on the edge of the roof and dangled my feet over the edge kicking them back and forth.

"If you seek the truth of whom you are, you will find the answers you seek."

"Who in the fu...."

I turned around while saying a not so friendly word when I stopped mid-sentence. It's an old woman. She had long grayish blonde hair, with a scar down her left cheek. She was wearing a long cloak that was giving off a powerful energy of magic. I hopped off the ledge I was sitting on to get a closer look of her.

"Who are you and where did you even come from?" I asked with confusion taking over my mind.

"If you seek the truth of whom you are, you will find the answers you seek."
