"Quinn, I need your help." I called his phone, still in the cemetery.
"Where the hell have you been?!" He yelled.
"I've just been gone. I needed time away, but listen I need your help. I think Everlynn is still alive. I need you to help me." I asked hoping he would agree with no question.
"I don't know man. I think you have lost your mind. Where are you and I'll come to you." He asked.
"I'm in town. I'll drive over to your house, just make sure you're there, ok?" I hung the phone up and put it away in my pocket.
I climbed back on my bike and took off to my old home, praying Quinn would agree to help me.
I reached his house and walked up the steps to the front door. Before I could knock on the door, Quinn opened it and hugged me.
"Brother it's about time your ass came home." Excitement in his voice.
"I'm not coming back Quinn. I just need to find Everlynn. Will you help me?" I asked, anticipation clinging to my words.
"Have you stopped by the cemetery yet?" He questioned me as if I were losing my mind.
"Yeah, I went there first." I replied back to him lowering my eyes to the floor.
"Okay so that means you saw her headstone. Right?" Quinn's concern beamed from him.
"It's a fake. The old woman helped me reveal the truth. She showed me the real name on the headstone." My eyes widened realizing that I would in fact see her again.
"An old woman? Dude, do you hear yourself? How much have you had to drink; better yet what drugs are you on?" he tilted his head questioning my sanity.
"I'm not on drugs dickhead! Well, I mean not anymore. Just please listen to me, believe me. I need you to just trust me okay!" I started to get irritated because he was making me feel crazy.
"I can't help you, Alec. You know Fletch is coming back and I'll be by his side when he does. You need to decide what side you want to be on. It could cost your life if you choose the wrong side." He crossed his arms as if what he was telling me was going to change my mind.
"Fuck you man! You're still caught up on bringing Fletch back? What has he done for any of us but fuck my life up? We owe him nothing! Why don't you see that? We should let him stay in hell and not even have to worry about dying! You know what just forget it!" I yelled, my anger taking over and stormed out.
"You're going to die Alec! Help me and you can live!" he yelled out, not knowing where I was going but damn it, I was going somewhere.
"I don't know where to start. I can't go to Kymber... She would kill me just for showing my face. Damn it! Where do I even start?! No one will be willing to help me; no one believes I have any good left in me, not after what I did..." I yelled through the helmet on my head, speeding through the once familiar streets.
I pulled over at a poorly lit, run down gas station. I pulled my phone from my jean pocket, touching the screen to make it light up.
"Danielle..." that's the name I pulled from my contacts.
"Maybe I can start with her, I don't even know if they will tell me she is alive or keep on with this she "died" parade. Fuck..." frustration started taking over my voice as I felt I was at a dead end that I could never find my way around.
"Hello?"
"Danielle... I need..."
"Alec? What the hell?! I told you to leave town, Everlynn is dead. When Kymber...."
