Shadow to Light [kuroko no basket fan fic]

Chapter 32: it is...

Momoi suddenly appeared and watch Seirin's practice. Which everyone doesn't really mind except for Riko.

"Why she have to be here?" Riko said gritting her teeth.

"Riko-chan calm down." Hikari tried to cool her down. "I think she doesn't have any negative effect to our practice today." She added and looks at Momoi's direction which is obviously clinging on Kuroko.

The practice goes on like usual except for Momoi's cheers echoing the gym. She feels odd today when she saw Momoi with Kuroko but she cannot really point it out. She shrugged the odd feeling and act normal the whole practice.

"Aren't you going now Hikari-chan?" Riko asks getting her bag.

"I'll just check the storage room. You can go ahead." She answers.

"Alright, see you tomorrow." Riko bids goodbye while Hikari goes to the storage room if everything was set in their place. When she was sure that everything is all set. She walks outside the storage room only to see Kuroko and Momoi kissing. Her eyes widened and stiffened she don't know how will respond to the awkward situation but what is occupying in her is the odd feeling welling up in her. Kuroko pushes Momoi gently and look at Hikari with wide eyes. She composed herself before she speaks.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I-I'll be going. Bye." She said with calm tone as she lowers her head and walk fast towards the gym gate.

Before she can really go outside the gym, Kuroko manages to catch up to her and caught her arm to stop her.

"T-that's not what you think Hikari-san. Let me explain." He said with pleading eyes.

"Why are you explaining to me Tetsuya-kun? You don't have to explain anything to me in the first place. You are free to do what you want?" Hikari said calmly and slips her arm into his grip.

"But..." he murmured. He let his head down covering his eyes with his bangs and let her walk away, even he just want to hold her tight.

As she walks away she feels the odd feeling taking her. She clutches her dress where her heart resides.

"Why? Why?" she said to herself still hanging her head low and just continue to walk. Until she bump into someone.

"I-I'm s-sorry" she said with nearly crack voice. The guy suddenly holds her both arms.

"O-oi! W-what happen to you? W-why are you c-crying?" Kagami said as he lightly shakes her.

"H-huh?" she manages to say as she touches her cheeks which is wet due to tears.

"P-please s-stop crying. C-coach will be angry at me if she saw you crying." He said as he hugs her.

"K-Kagami-kun..." she murmurs as she let him hug her.

They don't know that a certain teal haired boy saw them hugging.
