Chapter 17 Confession

          “I don’t know how to say this but I want to be honest to you and to my self.” He said, she stops swinging and look at him intently.

          “I can’t help my self staring at you. I felt happy whenever you are with me and talk to me. Actually my heart beats fast whenever you are near to me. And I’m so happy that you can notice me in spite of my weak presence.” He said and sighs.

          “When I see you with Kagami-kun I felt something hurting my chest.” He pauses and sighs again.

          “It’s bad but I felt sad suddenly. Then I realize that I LIKE YOU.” He finally said. Her eyes widened and she stands up looking at Tetsuya with shock expression. Tetsuya just look at her too while still sitting on the swing.

FLASH BACK****

(5th grade)

          “Hikari-chan why did you do this to me?” a girl said.

          “Did what?” a little Hikari said confused.

          “I thought you are my friend.” The girl said.

          “Yeah, I’m your friend.” She said and tries to step forward but the girl steps backward.

          “No, not anymore.” The girl shouts. She was frozen. Her eyes widened she cannot believe what her friend is saying.

          “Wh-why?” she said water starts build up on her eyes.

          “He *sobs* he likes you!” the girl started to cry.

          “B-but—” She only said with low tone cause she was trying not to cry too.

          “Don’t you get it? He doesn’t like me. And it was all because of you!” the girl shouts as she cries.

          “Don’t blame her.” a boy said. They both look at his direction.

          “It’s not her fault that I like her. She’s just showing her true self.” he said directly. Hikari tries to come closer to the girl but the girl run away. Hikari just looks down and clenches her fists on her dress. Tears started to flow down to her cheeks. The boy steps towards her but she stops him by saying.

          “Don’t come closer to me.” She shouted her tears flows down to her eyes in spite of her efforts to fight back her tears.

          “Hika—” he said but she interrupts.

          “Don’t come near to me again. I hate you…” she said and runs away too.

END OF FLASHBACK****

          Her eyes widened and she stands up looking at Tetsuya with shock expression. Tetsuya just look at her too while still sitting on the swing.

          “Y-you’re joking right?” those words come out to her mouth even she doesn’t really mean that way. He stands up.

          “No. I’m always serious to what I am saying.” He said with his usual emotionless face.

          “I-I need to go home now. Bye.” She just said and gets her things and went away to the playground running. When she got home she went directly to her room. She closes the door and leans her back to it. She clenches her fist to her chest, looking down.

          “Not again please.” She said to herself.

          “It’s not her fault that I like her.”

          “I realize that I LIKE YOU.”

          She shook her head and put her bag on the table then she tosses her self to her bed.
