Chapter 28 Flashback

[A/N: here’s the reason why Hikari is spaced out few days ago. It happens before the uneventful day with a hint of jealousy…]

          It was an ordinary day, she goes to school, attend her classes, eat lunch with Mio, went to the gym with the team, laugh with everyone and walk home with Kuroko after club activities. Everything went on smoothly on her until she got home.

From: Unknown

Subject: let’s meet

Message: it’s me Akashi. Let’s meet at the public court near your home right now. I’m waiting.

          This makes her wonder how he can be able to know her number. Then she realizes that he’s Akashi Seijuro he have his connections. He can even ask Kuroko or Kise for her number or even her mom since they know each other. She decided to come since he’s already there waiting for her. She told her mom that she needs some errands to attend to and went to their meeting place.

          “I know you will come.” He said as she reaches the public court.

          “Why did you ask me to come here?” she asks directly.

          “Nothing actually, I just want to see you.” He said.

          “This late?” she said a bit puzzled.

          “Why not?” he casually said. “I want to ask something to you.” He then said seriously.

          “What is it?” she asks.

          “Is that true that you used to see Kise when we were in middle school?” he asks.

          “I don’t remember seeing him. I can’t even recognize him at the first time I meet him in Seirin.” She answered.

          “What do you think of him?” his follow up question.

          “What do you mean?” she wondered.

“I mean, do you like him? Like his fan girls.” He said.

“What kind of question is that? Kise is a good guy. But I’m not a kind of girl that fan girls to a certain person. You know that.” she said a bit annoyed. He laughs at her expression.

‘I know that’s also why I like you’ he thought.

“I know, I’m sorry, I just thought…” he stops.

“Kise is a good friend of mine. Why did you ask silly questions like that?” she asks.

“Nothing I’m just curious.” He said.

“Curious of what?” she narrowed her eyes.

“Nothing, well how’s Tetsuya?” he asks her again.

“He’s fine I guess.” She answered then remembers something.

“Why did you try to hurt Taiga-kun?” she asks him directly.

“It’s because he didn’t follow me. It’s the generation of miracles meeting and they should not be there.” He answers monotonously.

“But that’s not enough to hurt him. What if he didn’t dodge that?” she said.

“But he did. Why you are so protective of him?” he said annoyed.

“Simply because he’s my friend, and I will also be protective if you do that to my other friends like Teppei-senpai, Hyuuga-senpai, Riko-chan, chizu-chan and even Tetsuya-kun.” She defended.

“You really didn’t change.” He commented.

“What?” she said.

“You’re still protecting your friends even if it hurts you. That’s why…” He stops. There is silence. He just stares at her with his heterochromatic eyes while she was just looking at the ground.

“I-if you don’t have any questions I will go home now my mother―” she didn’t finish her sentence because Akashi wraps her around his arms.

“This feeling, this feeling I felt the day I lay my eyes on you stays the same. Even that day, the day you get angry to me this feeling doesn’t change.” He said and she pushes away herself from him.

“Until now, it didn’t change a bit.” He said she was just stunned in her place.

“I still like you. No. I still love you.” He said looking straight to her eyes.

“A-Akashi―” she whispers.

“It’s alright, I’ll win you no matter what.” He said and walks away leaving her surprised.
