Hikari, Riko and Chizu went to Chizu’s family restaurant/ sushi shop. Their father greet them there,
“Hey, it’s been a while and you all really grow up like real ladies.” Her father said as they occupy the sit on the bar counter on the sushi shop.
“Dad, they are real ladies.” Chizu said as she enters the kitchen.
“Don’t you want to count yourself in Chizu-chan?” Hikari asks since Chizu said ‘they’ instead of ‘we’.
“Should I?” Chizu said and they laugh.
“What do you want girls?” Chizu’s father asks.
“The usual, uncle.” They said in unison.
“Chizu-chan, the uncrowned kings…” they said and Chizu got it right away.
“Ah I met them when I was in middle school.” She explains.
“You seem so close to them.” Riko commented.
“We used to play basketball back then. They’re from different schools but they used to know each other in their matches.” She said.
“And you?” Hikari asks.
“I actually meet them on a street basketball.” She said.
“Here’s your order.” The sushi came and they started to eat.
“But why is that… they seems to be scared to you?” Riko asks.
“Maybe because I beat them.” She casually said.
“You beat them!” they both said shocked.
“Hey, don’t you trust my abilities?” She bluntly said.
“No, of course not” they said.
“I didn’t beat them in one game. I just realized that I beat all the uncrowned kings and we’re already friends.” She said and eats a sushi. Silence…
“Uhm, is Teppei-sempai really your boyfriend?” Hikari suddenly asks. Chizu choked and looks for a drink Riko then gives her a glass of water.
“Why did you suddenly ask that out of the blue?” Chizu angrily said.
“Huh? But our topic is still on uncrowned king.” She innocently said. Chizu and Riko face palmed. Chizu suddenly shivers and when she looks back she saw her father emitting dark aura but then it also fades suddenly.
“Is that Teppei your talking about is the one who usually comes to visit you?” her father asks she blushed.
“Y-yeah” she said her father smiles while the two girls grin.
“Is he your boyfriend now? Well, he is good, I like him for you. You can marry him.” He father said. She spits out the water she was drinking.
“Hey what’s with marry thingy? He’s not even my boyfriend.” She said defensively.
“Really?!” the three said in unison with smirks plastered on their faces.
“Stop that! It gives me chills.” She said.
“Then why are you both close to each other?” Riko asks sarcastically.
“Because we’re classmates in middle school.” she said
“Oh I see.” They said in unison.
“But you look good together, because you’re both tall.” Hikari commented. (Chizu is not that tall but she is taller than Riko and Hikari)
“Can we just change the topic?” Chizu suggested.
“How are you and Junpei?” Chizu asks Riko.
“What’s with that question?” she said and blushes.
“Heeeeee then why are you blushing Riko-chan?” she said with a sing-a-song tone in the end of her sentence.
“N-no I’m not!” Riko said defensively. “Why don’t you ask Hikari-chan?” she tries to change the topic and she did.
“Really! Who?” Chizu said eagerly.
“Kuroko-kun.” Riko said. “Or Kagami-kun.” She added.
“Is that true Hikari-chan?” Chizu said as she shifts his gaze to her.
“What are you talking about?” Hikari said confused.
“What is your relationship with Kagami-kun?” she asks Hikari directly.
“Hmmmmm,” she points her finger to her chin. “He’s like a brother to me.” She said directly.
“She really says the truth.” Chizu believes her.
“Who is Kuroko to you?” she then asks.
“He is… my friend.” Said with a poker face.
“Alright if you say so.” Chizu believes in her easily.
But deep in Hikari, her heart twinge when she said that they are just friends. She don’t understand why and decided to ignore the feeling earlier.
