One day as I was walking through the forest, I hear cries of a deer calling for their mother, so I follow the sound sure enough, I saw a fawn calling for their mother.
The Fawn: "mother, Is that you?"
I step out of the brush so the Fawn can see me.
Me "I'm not your mother honey, but I do know that I'm not going to hurt you"
The fawn: "are you sure you're friendly?"
Me: "of course I'm friendly I haven't pulled a gun on you yet have I?"
The fawn: "good point good point"
Me: "so what's the deal? You're crying for your mother. And what's your name friend?"
The fawn: "actually I know where my mother, is she's in heaven I just keep forgetting that. And my name is Bambi. what's yours?"
Me: "my name is Lucas and I'm so sorry to hear that your mother is dead. Please I want to take care of you, would you like to come back to my house and cry in a safe place instead of being out here in the cold?"
When I got closer to Bambi, he jumped into my arms and snuggled in, Bambi is shaking and shivering.
Me: "I'll take that as yes, have you been lonely?"
Bambi: "I have been lonely Lucas, and I want to be you"
Me: "Bambi you're shivering how long have you been out here?"
Bambi: "I've been out here my whole life and I'm not used to not having any parents, and I'm very cold"
Me: "Bambi listen, you'll have a loving family now, and I promise you won't have to be alone anymore, I will always be with you I promise"
Bambi: " I'm listening to your heartbeat, it reminds me of my mother"
Me: "that's ok Bambi I'm happy you trust me"
Me: "dad can we take Bambi home?"
My father: "um ok sure, we can take Bambi home since you guys are like brothers"
Bambi: "we are like brothers, we care for each other even though we just met"
Me: *snuggles Bambi even closer*
Me: "we are, we truly are"
Bambi: *cuddles into my coat trying to get closer to me for body heat and warmth I hold him closer*
Me: "I love you Bam"
Bambi: "I love you too Luke, and I'm looking forward to seeing what adventures we have in the future"
Me: "me to Bam, me too"
Bambi: "we're gonna be a great team ain't we?"
Me: "yes we will"
