So, It's the first day of my new school and I'm nervous.
I wake up to Bambi nuzzling me.
Me: "Bambi, it's 6:00AM what are you doing awake?"
Bambi: "don't you remember?"
Me: "No"
Bambi: "it's your first day school, and you have to catch the bus"
Me: "ok now I know"
I get dressed, and get on the bus.
Wyatt: "hey Luke"
Me: "huh?" *I look around to see who called me*
Gunner: "it's just us"
Me: "what a coincidence, we're on the same bus"
Wyatt: "and get this, we're also in the same classes"
Me: "awesome!"
Gunner: "Luke why did you look sad when you got on the bus?"
Me: *with a sad face* "it's nothing you don't need to worry"
Wyatt: "I see it in your eyes something's wrong, is it because this is new territory for you or something else?"
Me: "fine I'll tell you, it's Bambi"
Wyatt: "who's Bambi?"
I take out a picture of me and Bambi.
Me: "that's Bambi"
Wyatt: "your friend is a deer fawn?"
I nodded as a yes.
Gunner: "that's cool"
Me:*with tears in my eyes and a voice crack* "I miss him"
Wyatt: *hugs me* "hey it's okay, to miss him. I'm sure you guys are really close"
Me: "he's actually a family member"
Wyatt: "wdym?"
Me: "I adopted Bambi after you SHOT his mother"
Wyatt: "that doe had a fawn? I dear god"
Gunner: "we're here"
Me: "ok show me around"
Edit: "for now we'll skip the tour"
When I was in the History Class I looked sad.
Wyatt: "what's wrong Luke? You look sad"
I pick up the picture from before I look at it and shed a tear and hand it to Wyatt.
Me: "here"
Wyatt: "it's Bambi. are you missing him?"
Me: "yes I am"
Wyatt pulls a chair beside me like a real friend would do.
Wyatt: "what can I do to help?"
Me: "just be here for me"
Wyatt: "I can do that"
