Bambi has spent so much time with his new friends that I think he doesn't enjoy my company anymore. I go into the forest looking for Bambi, I find him laying down where the Great Prince first met his mother.
Me: "Bambi?"
Bambi: (in a happy voice) "Luke is that you?"
Me: "yes it's me my son"
Bambi: "it's so good to see you, we need to talk"
Me: "yes I think we do need to talk"
Bambi: "Luke I have new friends that understand me more than you. I don't want to give up on you but my friends tell me I can't have human friends because they think it's too dangerous for me to handle"
Me: "Bambi don't listen to them, are they good enough for you? If so I can understand that"
I get teary eyed.
Bambi: "Luke, it's not like that. We're a family, nothing will change that"
Me: (starting to cry) "just tell me the truth Bambi, if you like them more then me then just say so"
Bambi: (feeling sad for what he's done) "Luke I don't know what to say"
Me: (cries)
(Bambi nuzzles me)
Bambi: "Luke, there there it's okay"
Me: "no, it's not okay Bambi"
Bambi: "I can make things right again"
Me: "Bambi, the damage is already done"
Bambi: "I know, but there's still a chance to redeem myself"
Me: "You have better friends than me, I'll just have to force myself to deal with it"
Bambi: "Luke I'm so sorry for everything"
Me: "do you know what my life has been like since you left?"
Bambi: "no I don't know"
Me: "it's lonely and I've been feeling abandoned. I shut myself off from the world. I need you back Bambi"
Bambi: "Luke, I had no idea you were so sad without me around"
Me: "when you're with your friends you don't care about me only your friends"
Bambi tries to hug me. I hug Bambi.
Me: "you're all I need right now my son"
Bambi: "I need you too Luke"
Me: "how about you say goodbye to your new friends and we head home?"
Bambi: "I couldn't agree more with you"
We walk home beside each other smiling at each other occasionally.
