Chapter Twenty-Five: Mother's Day Sorrow

One day Falline and me were walking around the outside of our house and we come across a distraught looking Bambi.
Faline: "are you okay Bambi?"
Bambi (in a sad voice) "I'm okay Falline"
Faline: "you look sad sweetheart"
Bambi: "I am sad"
I walk away knowing Bambi needs Faline and not me.
Faline gets beside her friend.
Faline: "what's on your mind little one?"
Bambi: "my mama"
Faline: "what about her?"
Bambi starts breaking down into tears.
Bambi: "it's Mother's Day Faline"
Faline: "oh now I understand"
Bambi: *cries*
Faline: "there there little one you're safe"
Bambi: "I don't want what happened to mama happen to me"
Faline: "it won't happen to you, I'll keep you safe"
Bambi lays down on the grass and Faline lays beside him.
Bambi: "thank you for being here Faline"
Faline: "you're welcome Bambi"
Bambi: *continues to cry*
Faline: "it's okay little one"
Bambi begins to listen to Faline's heartbeat 'cause it reminds him of his mother.
Bambi: "Faline your heartbeat is comforting to me, it makes me feel like my mother is beside me"
Faline: "listen to me, you can listen to my heartbeat to your heart's content"
Bambi: "thank you Faline, you're a sweetheart"
Faline: "so are you, I have struggles of my own"
Bambi: "you do?"
Faline: "of course I do. I miss Gobo"
Bambi: "who's Gobo?"
Faline: "Gobo's my brother, he went missing years ago I miss him so much"
Bambi: "I....I'm sorry to hear that"
Faline: "I haven't quite learned how to move on"
Bambi: "it's been two years since my mother passed, and I haven't moved on yet"
Faline: "good point about that"
Bambi: "Faline?"
Faline: "yes sweetheart?"
Bambi: "I'm a hurt soul"
Faline: "I know you are, but in due time you will learn how to cope with the loss of your mother and eventually heal"
Bambi: "are you sure about that Faline?"
Faline: "I'm 100% sure"
Bambi: *manages a weak smile* "thanks Faline"
Faline: "any time Bambi"
