Dominic Hayes

I rolled over in bed and looked at the clock next to me. Something kept waking me up. I heard something that sounded like screaming. I sat up and looked around then the noise happened again. Getting out of bed, I walked out into the hall. The screams sounded like they were coming from Lay's room. I walked up to her room door and knocked.

"Layton, you good?"

"Stop! Please don't do this to me!" She yelled.

"Layton!"

"Get away from me!" I busted through the door but when I got in there she was alone. She was still asleep. Her body kept rising off the but her arms stayed down like somebody was holding her. I walked over to her.

"Lay wake up." Tears started rolling down her cheeks. I lifted her head and started rubbing her hair.

"You gotta wake up."

"Please don't rape me." She cried.

"It's me, Dom. You gotta open your eyes please." I gently rubbed her cheek. Her eyes started fluttering then they popped open. She looked at me.

"Dom." She said.

"Are you okay?" She shook her head no then started crying again. I pulled her head to my chest and started rubbing her back.

"I didn't mean to wake you, I'm sorry." She said.

"Don't apologize." I ran my fingers through her hair. That caused her to groan.

"You okay?"

"I am now. I don't know if I can go back to sleep though." She sat up.

"It's late you need to rest."

"I'm kind of scared right now." I stared at her.

"Would you like me to stay?" She slowly nodded her head. I got up and went to the other side of the bed. I got comfortable and she laid her head on my chest. I rubbed her back.

"Thanks, Dommy." I just shook my head.

"Anytime, try and get some sleep for me please."

A few hours later

I was in my room on the phone with my captain.

"Why haven't you been checking in?" She asked.

"Because it's not safe for me to be on the phone with my captain when I'm with her every day."

"Well, have you found out anything out?"

"No. She's keeping me in the dark. She's leaning in to trust me more I need more time." I lied.

"Okay, if you found out anything, tell me. We can't afford to lose this case Hayes."

"Okay, captain." I hung up and made my way out of my room. I'm technically still doing my job. I searched the house one day when it was just me and found nothing. I realized Layton was very closed off. No family and her only friends were Kira and Rick. She talked to Rick the most about any problems. Her workers seem to be loyal but you never really know.

It's been a couple of days since Lay's situation with Damon. She hasn't been able to sleep and I've had to comfort her so she could sleep, which I had no problem doing. We were getting closer every day honestly. I walked downstairs seeing Layton in the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning beautiful, how are you feeling?" I asked, going into the fridge.

"Morning Dominic, you're a flirt for someone with a girlfriend. I'm doing good thank you again for last night." I rolled my eyes at the mention of Holly. I made myself a bowl of cereal and sat at the bar.
