I hit my blunt, while sitting on the couch listening to Kira explain what happened to my daughter. My mother was currently in the guest room, she was shaken up but she was fine.

"I came back from the store and these guys just came in and took her. He knew my name." I looked up at Layton and furrowed my eyebrows.

"What do you mean he knew your name?" Layton said.

"He fucking said it. He took Royalty and knocked me and Mary out with a needle." She showed us the needle mark on her neck. My phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out seeing Mike telling me to go to the warehouse. I ordered an Uber.

"I have to go." I put my blunt out and stood up.

"Where?" Layton asked looking at me.

"To the warehouse, Mike needs me. I love you." I leaned down and kissed her.

"I love you too. Be safe." I nodded. After I hugged Kira, I walked outside and got in my Uber. After a thirty-minute drive, hopping out of the Uber, I dipped into the corner store and grabbed me some candy then made my way to the front counter.

"That's all for today." I told the clerk. He quickly slid me the roll up and I paid, leaving back out the store. It was going on midnight, and the streets were empty. I knew better than to drive my car back here, just in case there was blowback. Couldn't nobody say I was over here, as far as anybody knew, I was home with my girl.

Rule number 1, if you are about to commit a serious crime. Have an alibi ready and getting dropped off around the corner from warehouse 1. This corner store? Business partner. He doesn't say shit, we pay him heavily. Plus, the boy had a taste for nose candy. So why would he rat on us?

Keeping my hood up, I cut through the empty dirt lot, walking towards the black trucks parked across it. Dressed in all black, down to the gloves on my hands, if there was any camera footage nobody would ever be able to point me out. After I pass the corner store, there are no cameras and no lights.

That's Rule number 2. If you are going to pick a place to be doing illegal stuff, make sure it's off the radar. Making it to the door, I did the signature knock and waited. The peep slot slid open and my eyes met Michael's. He shut it back before unlocking it and letting me in.

"They kind of overdid the beating." He said.

"On who?" I questioned.

"We got one of Anthony boys."

"Name."

"Smoke." I nodded. Mike shut the door behind me, locking it back. I unzipped my coat, took it off, and handed it off to one of the rookies. I looked to the middle of the room, smiling when I saw Smoke tied to a chair. He was in nothing but his pants, gagged at the mouth and crying like a girl already.
