Possession
At the age of twelve, Hotaru ran away from home, during a tragic fire that consumed a major portion of the Yamanaka family. In truth however, Hotaru had a different and more pressing goal in mind. The being known as Trickster had been haunting his dreams, convincing him to search for a particular place by a specific deadline, otherwise he would certainly die. He would eventually become lost on his expedition. He tried to retrace his steps for several hours, before slipping into a limestone shaft and falling into a cavern containing a tomb. A doll-shaped container caught his eye. He picked it up, carelessly caressing it and promptly snapping its head off, which broke a seal that released the spirit of an ancient being from the heian era. The spirit then possessed Hotaru's body, inhabiting his normal self until he said the word "Misty", upon which his normal consciousness would be overtaken by the ancient spirit inside.
