Theodore

The doors swing open, and the horses begins to move towards it. I can see they give district 9 more screen time than normal. Must be our little stunt. My heart beats fast. The doors lock behind us. "That was amazing" Theodore says. "It happened just as I planned". Someone says. "It went perfectly" somebody else says. I'm overwhelmed by all the attention. Sam seems to notice. He takes my hand in his. "come" he says helping me down. "You looked so beautiful" Theodore says hugging me. I'm surprised by the hug, but I hug him back. When we pull away, he says: "everybody is going to talk about you". I smile by his comment. We now have a bigger chance to win. Tessia walks like a model over to us. "Not what I expected, but now everybody is talking about you".

We follow Tessia into an elevator and up to where we have to live until the games start. The apartment is very big. Never have I seen so much luxury. "I'm going to rest. See you guys later" I say walking into my room. I take a bath. The showers are really weird. There is too many buttons for my taste. As I'm drying myself with a towel, I hear footsteps. Before I can do anything someone opens the door. Its Theodore. "Hey Cassie, I... wow" he says looking at my body. "like anything you see?" I ask. "I... I..." Theodore says. "don't just stand there get the fuck out" I yell at him. "sorry" he says quickly walking out the door. "learn to knock" I say to myself. I put some clothes on, and walk out of the bathroom. Theodore sits on my bed waiting for me. "so, what is it you wanted?" I ask tired. "its about the training tomorrow". "go on" I say. "you cant show the others to much of your skill. You know the reasons. Get as much info about nature as possible" he says. "I know, but I will probably try the weapons one time. Since they are different from home" I say. He smiles at me. "you looked beautiful out there" he says. "yeah yeah" I say tired of the same comment. "no I mean it. Not Tukis dress. You" he says walking closer. "I'm so proud of you" he says. For the first time I look deeply into his eyes. They are Brown. A pretty Brown. Never in my life have I seen eyes so blank. "and remember-" he says. I cut him off. "I know. I know. I got this under control" I say holding my finger in front of his lips, to prevent him from speaking. He puts his arms around my back. Our faces moves closer. Suddenly a high voice can be heard. "Cassieeee" its Tessia. Fast I take a step away from Theodore. She open the door and walks into the room. "guess what I found". After her two Avoxes comes in carrying a large piano. "wow" I say in excitement. They put it down on the floor. I immediately take a chair over to it. Before I start to play I say: "thank you so much Tessia" I quickly run over and hug her. "well your welcome sweetheart" she says. I Sit back down and begin to play. I haven't done that in a long time. We had to sell the piano we had back at home, or else we would have starved to death. This piano is much nicer. I play the melody I thought would work for my song. Theodore sits back on the bed and watches me. I barely notices he is there. The melody is perfect. Now I just need some words. I start with the chorus since it's the easiest part. I try some words but they don't work with the melody. Then the right words come to me. I sing it over the piano:

As I end Theodore begins to clap. "That was beautiful. You have to sing that to the interview" he says. "Don't worry I will. But I still got the rest of the song to go" I say smiling.
