The Middle

As this wave hits

I'm left in this middle space

I have two doors

One to my left

another to my right

"Pick the right"

I must admit you never were good at listening to me

I quickly run

I stand yet again in the middle

This hole, this dream

It's all becoming real

"Soon, soon..."

You say.

Yet, I'm only satisfied for a couple hours.

Now I'm walking within the middle

I greet you & you're upset

You do this thing where you go silent

Only allowing yourself to respond with

One word

Funny

I thought you'd get better.

Now, you're calling me out...

I'm standing in the middle with you

throwing curveballs

I try to refrain.

I'll take all the blame

If it means, you'll look at me the same

Your glowing eyes.

They're so beautiful

If You'd only allow me to capture them

When all is good?

If I told you I'd do anything

Would it make you see?

I'm crawling to this middle

You're standing

"You never listen."

I look up to you...

And there's nothing left other than

Someone else.
