Takeaways from first class: As always, Seddik is no fun. This week, he did nothing but go through the rules and procedures of hand to hand combat.
Takeaways from second class: Sonata specializes with magnetic levitation. Not only can she attract and deflect certain metals, but if on a metallic surface, she can use the "north pole" magnets of her hands and the "south pole" magnets in her feet. These "poles" generate a magnetic field, pulling the front of herself forward and pushing her from behind. She can reach crazy fast speeds if she wants to. And this week we just took the time to get to know each other and she gave me a black smithing demonstration.
Takeaways from third class: As for therapy, I wasn't quite ready to open up to Sue just yet. Saiyah, who does her sessions before me, also seems a bit tense around the therapist. My friend usually keeps her secrets close to chest, and I respect that. Because so do I.
Takeaways from fourth class: In Survival skills, Sonata took us out into the woods. We spent the week doing reconnaissance, stealthily surveying the others without them knowing. Vex had leapt into a river to avoid Thiel's horde of bees. West and his mentor focused on building camp—making tents and starting fires, all without relying on their magic. Sonata had to haul me away when I saw Saiyah's mentor laugh at her when she was desperate to keep her head above the surface of the lake. I don't like Laphayett. Oh, and Zadro's mentor is...interesting. While Zadro patiently waited for a fish to pull at his bait, his teacher threw a fit and threw his pole into the water—startling the fish away. I wonder what the professors were thinking when they paired us up with our student mentors.
Takeaways from fifth class: I love dance aerobics. There are a lot of health benefits to this activity, but I'll spare whoever's reading this by not listing them all. But I love losing myself in the music and focusing on the present. It's a real stress reliever. I really like this new training schedule.
