(Chris)
Its been a while since I told Nia's mom. Nia haven't been in school since then. I remember that Nia said that she haven't been telling Bella anything. So Bella has no idea why she isn't in school. I walk to Bella who's standing by her locker.
-Hey Bella, I say.
-What do you want?, she asks.
I get that she's angry at me. What I've done to her best friend is unforgivable.
-Do you know why Nia haven't been in school lately?, I ask.
-No. she haven't answered me at all. I don't know where she is. Do you know anything?, she ask and looks worried.
I shake my head. I know I have an idea. But I'm not sure if Nia's okay with me telling Bella. And I'm not 100% sure. So I don't want to make her more worried for nothing.
-You really did something with Nia, she says.
-I know and I'm so sorry, I say.
She laughs and shakes her head.
-Well yeah but that weren't what I meant, she laughs.
-So?, I ask.
-She have been sad lately. Because she's not with you. She's more hurt over that you aren't hers then she is over what you've done. Do you know that?, she asks.
I Shake my head. I didn't know.
-How do you know this? I thought she never spoke about feelings like that?, I ask.
-She doesn't. But sometimes I can make her say what she feels without her realise. With other questions, she says.
-Smart, I say.
-If you find out something about Nia. Can you tell me?, she asks.
-Yeah obviously. And you?, I ask back.
She nods and then she turns and walks away. I go back to my locker.
-Trying to take her best friend instead?, Simon laughs.
-Don't be stupid, I say.
-Did you find out something?, Nathan asks.
-No Nia hadn't answered her, I say.
-Are u worried, he asks.
-Of course I am. But how do I worry about her when she can't know I do?, I ask.
-Guess you two choices. Showing her that you still care and maybe ruin everything. Or just act like you don't care and maybe ruin everything. Your choice, Val says.
-Your right. Your very right, I say.
-I know, Val says looking very proud over himself.
Whatever I even do it can go terribly wrong. And the other way around too. The whole day im walking around thinking about what the fuck im supposed to do. What's wrong and what's right. I don't want to text her. I might make her angry or sad. I can't do that before knowing what's happening and where she is. When the bus stops by my house I stay in the bus. And get off in front of Nia's house. I knock on the door. A little nervous that Nia will open the door. But it's her mom. She doesn't look shocked this time, she looks happy.
-Hey Chris, she says.
-Hi. Is Nia here?, I ask.
-No she's at the hospital. She have been the last week. Already doing better. Thank u so much for telling me. It could've been going so much worse, she says.
-Of course, I say.
-Do you want to meet her? I sadly have to work and don't have time today, she says.
