(Nia)
This is the day. The day I'm finally moving home. So why am I so unhappy? Because I have to leave Daylo. I just can't. I don't understand why his families have been changing there minds in the last second. I see Linda's room open. I peep in and it's empty. She must have forgotten to close and lock the door. I see all the papers in the table. I just can't stop myself. I go in and starts to search after Daylo in the papers. I can't find anything. Then I look on the computer and it's unlocked too. I search after his name and find the mails between the hospital and the families.
"We're so ready to get him here"
"We're sorry but his not ready. I hope you guys can find someone else. Daylo aren't ready to move after his trauma"
I look shocked at mails. They're stopping him from moving. Because of his trauma? Did they actually did that. I hear Linda's voice from far away and get stressed. I print it out and takes the papers. I fold the papers as small as I can and put them in my pockets. Then I fast goes to the door. In that second Linda sees me.
-Nia? What are u doing here?, she asks.
-I was just gonna tell you that I'm going home tonight, I say.
-I already knew that. We're gonna meet tonight and say good bye sweetheart, she says.
-Oh yeahhh. I forgot, I say and laugh as I walk away.
When I'm in my room I take my time to read everything. The more I read the angrier I get.
One hour later Linda open the door with a smile. I don't smile.
-What's wrong?, she asks.
I hand her the papers. She suspiciously look at me and sit down on the bed to read the papers.
-Nia did you take this in my room?, she asks.
-Why have you been telling the families he's not ready? Because of his trauma? Everything he wants is to get away from here! He's getting trauma for living here!, I say.
-Calm down Nia, she says.
-No!, I say.
-Im gonna explain. But promise to not tell anyone. Especially not Daylo. We're not supposed to tell anyone, she says.
-Fine, I say.
-We wanted to give him a loving family as fast as we could. His stepdad were treating him bad with violence. His mom have been separations from the dad so now his mom won't let us help him and adopt away him. She wants his son back. And while she wants that, we can't do anything about it, she says.
-Why can't you let her take Daylo then? If the stepdad is gone?, I ask.
-Cause she treated him bad too. We have proof but not enough to go to court. It's best for him to not know that while we try to figure it out, she says.
-How will you figure it out?, I ask.
-I don't know Nia. Everyone isn't like you and have 1000 of ideas every second, she says with a little laugh.
I laugh.
-Why don't you let me help you then, I say.
-How?, she asks.
-Let me meet his mom. I promise I would make her understand what's best for Daylo. I know if someone, I say.
-No I don't think that's good, she says.
-Come on. What's the worst thing that could happen?, I ask
-She gets her and doesn't leave without Daylo, she says.
