Mitch looked at the door, the wood was painted light blue with glass panels.

"What do you think?" He glanced at Nate.

"I think it's a nice door..." Nate tested the wood and looked to see if there was a second door, not wanting to repeat the same situation as 15 minutes earlier when Mitch got excited about a door only to find out there was only one part of it. "We can sand it down and remove this paint... we can paint it whatever color you want."

"We'd need some drywall, right?"

Nate furrowed his brows and stepped back, looking at the door, then went around the corridor and found a large enough window that matched perfectly with the door.

"I think I have an idea..." Nate showed the window when Mitch approached. "We can use this pair of windows as walls, I can fix them and then the doors will look good."

"Do you think we can do it?"

Nate rubbed his chin and nodded.

"I'm 80% sure we can." Nate affirmed, seeing Mitch grab his phone. "Has Scott arrived in NY?"

"Hmm..." Mitch raised his eyebrows as he typed a message. "I don't know, I haven't talked to him today."

Nathan looked back at the window, maybe he needed a wooden column. Mitch put away his phone and looked at Nathan's profile carefully.

"Did you have fun yesterday?"

"It was a good night." Nathan nodded. "Enjoyable..."

Mitch raised an eyebrow and rubbed his neck. Maybe Austin was right in the message he had received... maybe he should talk to Nathan about the feelings the officer was obviously having.

"Are you only going to want the windows and the door? I thought you might want to see something else." Nathan wiped his hands. "I saw an old door that would look great as a bed headboard."

Mitch seemed excited and nodded. The biggest problem was solved, they had found a way to isolate the bedroom from the living room and he would have some privacy. He let Nate lead the way and smiled as soon as he saw the door.

"I think it would look lovely... but since it's a brick wall I had thought about putting up a large panel."

Nate furrowed his brows, thinking before agreeing.

"It could work, but I think for it to work it should be a darker wood. We can buy a board and lacquer it with black paint."

"Matte finish?" Mitch asked.

"Whatever you want." Nate agreed. "I think I know where to buy a good wood board."

"I think I'd like to see some armchairs." Mitch requested, and Nate waved his hand.

"We have the whole day."

Scott answered the call as soon as he entered the hotel room.

"So... am I already a drugged-up queen?" He asked, looking at the lounge area. He approached the pool table in front of the tall windows, greeted by the endless buildings of Manhattan and the Hudson River.

"Well... no, not yet. The fact that it's legalized here is in our favor, but please. Don't get caught smoking again." Esther pleaded.

Scott let out a soft laugh, passing through the second room and the small kitchen to enter the master bedroom. He left his suitcase by the bed.

"I have to leave soon to go to the studio to record the movie soundtrack." Scott returned through the hallway and opened the minibar, grabbing a bottle of water. "Then I'm having dinner with Kirstin, tomorrow I'm back in the studio and then I'm free, right?"
