Chapter Eleven
Corrupted Love

YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW long you have been trapped in your own body. You can see everything, but you don't have control over your body at all. It was as if something was forcing you to do so. Right now, you were wearing your uniform and had your sword with you, ready for any fight.

You tried your best to talk to Macaque and tell him that you were there, but your mouth refused to move or even let out a sound. Right now, you were standing beside the Lady Bone Demon like a bodyguard. She looked unhappy with something you obviously don't know about. LBD growled in frustration, "I knew he would fail me again." She mumbled under her breath before turning to look at you with an evil grin. She approached you with her hands behind her back, "My champion, why don't you assist me in dealing with that foolish simian, hm?" Her question came out more as an order, and you have to do it.

"No! No! I will not do as you say!" You exclaimed loudly, but your voice wasn't heard. In fact, you nodded your head silently as a reply to her orders. Lady Bone smiled in satisfaction, "Very well, we are going to the Lantern City, and there you will find him." With that being said, she teleported the two of you to the said city. She looked up at the big lantern and pointed at it, "He is in there. Go get him." Lady Bone ordered, and you obediently complied.

You jumped high through the buildings, making your way to the lantern of the centre of the city. Deep down, you tried to stop yourself, but it was in vain. Once you made it up there, you could see Macaque struggling to stand up because of the electric shock he received. Suddenly, the lights went out, and the blue mist covered the lantern. Macaque seemed panicked as he looked around. You took this opportunity and snuck inside. With a swift movement, you grabbed him by the scarf and raised him up. Macaque groaned before he saw your face, "Y-Y/N?" He called your name, his golden eyes gazing at your lifeless and pale blue ones. In your head, you were crying and trying to regain control, "Please let go! Don't hurt him!" You exclaimed and begged your body to let him go, but your body refused to comply.

"I set you a task. You were to retrieve the Monkey King and his protégé. Yet, you refused the path of destiny, and so there will be pain."

Upon hearing the voice of Lady Bone, Macaque started to freak out. You pulled out your whip sword and prepared yourself to attack, "Stop, you stupid body of mine! I need to snap out!" You exclaimed, trying your best to stop yourself from hurting him. Macaque gazed around in search of LBD, "They have a weapon! They have the Samadhi Fire!" He proclaimed loudly in hopes she would reconsider. Lady Bone hummed and made her appearance, "Let him go, Y/N. It appears there is still time to correct your failure. Bring the fire to me. I will grant you my aid and my power in this final trial. But make haste, for I will leave nothing left of you." Just as she said that, the demon sent her power to Macaque. Half of his body got covered in spiked bones that looked like ice. He screamed, and the spiked bone covered the entire city.

You turned around and were about to leave, but Macaque held your hand. He looked up at you since he was still down on his knees, "Y/N, I-I will save y-you no matter wh-what." He struggled to say, squeezing your hand slightly. For a moment, your stoic expressions softened slightly, and your eyes flashed between blue and green. However, it was only for a split second. You pulled your hand away and proceeded to leave with LBD.

In your head, you were sobbing and crying after your encounter with Macaque. You hated seeing him like this, all corrupted and controlled, "I'm sorry, I tried my best, but I failed. I'm so weak and useless." You mumbled, hoping that your voice would reach him. You and Lady Bone retreated back to the Bone Mech. You were standing back, feeling yourself trying to break from your restraints. It was slowly yet surely working, but it would take so much time and energy. Your mind drifted back to Macaque. You were so worried about him and didn't know what he was doing right now. He was probably fighting with Mk and his friends.

"I just hope everyone is safe. I need a little more time to be free from her control."

You continued to take back your body, praying that you would be free before it was too late. However, you didn't know that your next battle was very, very soon. And with someone you never thought you would fight.
