AFTER SETTING THEIR plan, Mk and Macaque went first to retrieve the staff from LBD while Redson and the others free Mei from her prison. Macaque's mind was set on freeing you from that woman's control even if he had to fight you to do this. He couldn't bear seeing you being used by her and fulfill her goals.
Right now, the two stood in front of the staff that was stuck in the ground. Wukong wasn't in the same area as them, but Mk was going to help him after he gets the staff back. Mk took a deep breath before approaching the staff, "Here comes-..."
"The Love Pillar!"
Upon hearing the voice of Lady Bone Demon, you suddenly appeared and swung your sword down which made Mk fly away, but Macaque caught him in time. You stood there, sword in hand and an emotionless look on your face. Macaque frowned in frustration when he saw you, "I don't want to fight her, but I'm forced to do so. I have to help her." He thought as he took a fighting stance, ready to start the fight. Lady Bone had a sly smirk on her face, "MK, the Monkie Kid and the Six-Eared Macaque. Here to embrace oblivion?" She taunted evilly. The dark furried monkey forced a confident smirk on his face as he spun Mk and placed his down, "The opposite, actually. I'm kind of on this whole living streak now, so we were hoping maybe you could call off this whole end of the world thing and probably let Y/N go? Would really help us out." He spoke up as if he wasn't fazed by her or your presence.
"Yeah. What he said!"
"None of us can alter the course of destiny."
"Yeah. I thought as much." Macaque mumbled and prepared himself for the fight. Meanwhile, you also took a fighting stance to engage in the fight, "Mk. Now!" Macaque exclaimed and Mk dashed forward, ready to punch you. You were about to slice him and that scared the boy because he thought Macaque was going to betray him. However, he actually held you back before your could do anything to the kid, "Alright, MK. I hope that staff is worth it!" With that being said, he threw you away and chased after you to proceed with the fight.
Macaque transformed into a wolf and launched at you, but you swiftly used your sword and swung it at him. Thankfully, he avoided it as he returned to his normal form, his fist pulled back to punch you. However, you blocked it and punched him in the stomach.
"Love Breathing: Third Form: Catlove Shower." You mumbled and leaped in the air, performing multiple arched slashes quickly. Macaque quickly summoned his Mech and tried to hold back your attack, but it was difficult due to its power. He could see Wukong stuck in the ice, he got the idea of freeing him to help Mk. Thus, Macaque did his best to lead your attacks towards Wukong to free him. The mech got destroyed by your whip sword and Macaque fell down a few feet away from Wukong.
You landed down and pulled your sword back and then swung forward. Macaque used this opportunity and moved away, making your slash hit the ice trapping Wukong and free him from his restraints, "Whoa!" Wukong screamed, thinking that he was doomed. Monkey King stood up and took a fighting stance, "I'm grateful you freed me, but you could've told me your plan." He directed his speech to Macaque, preparing to join the battle. You frowned and dashed toward him, but the shadow clones of Macaque held you down.
"What?" Wukong questioned.
"Leave!"
Wukong turned around and saw Macaque slightly struggling to stand, "Go! Mk needs your help." He instructed as he finally stood up. Monkey King really wanted to free you, but Mk needed him right now. The kid was the only one to stand against Lady Bone. He nodded in understanding, "Alright, but be careful. She is still fighting to free herself." Wukong stated before taking his leave to assist Mk. Meanwhile, you used all of your power and pushed all of the clones and stood up. Your attention was now directed to Wukong who was going to help Mk. You were about to follow him when Macaque kicked you. He summoned his Smoke Monster and pinned you down on the ground with his giant hand. You almost immediately started struggling to get out of his grip.
"Y/N! You have to snap out of this! Don't let her control you anymore! It's my fault you got dragged into this mess, I can't let you be her puppet. Please... I don't want to lose you."
You stopped moving and looked at him. Macaque could see a bit of emotion on your face. You were listening! You heard everything he had said, "M-Macaque..." You mumbled and he was able to hear you. The blue color in your eyes dimmed slightly and that was enough to prove that his words had reached her. You let out a pained groan which made Macaque become concerned. He dismissed the Smoke Monster and rushed to you, "Y/N, are you alright?" The shadow monkey asked as he kneeled beside you. When you opened your eyes, the blue color was mostly gone and instead your green eyes were back.
"Macaque?"
The moment you called his name, Macaque felt relieved. He smiled and pulled you in a hug without realizing it, "I'm glad you're back." He said, tightening the hug slightly.
"Macaque! This isn't me! It's a trap!"
This was the mistake Macaque had done. Before he could react, he received a power punch in his stomach that it knocked the air out of his lungs and forced him to let go of you and hold his abdomen. You stood up with your sword still in your hand, the blue color returned to your eyes. You slowly approached Macaque and kicked him in the same spot which made him fly away and hit a nearby rock, passing out immediately. You walked to him and held him by the scarf before making your way to Wukong and Mk.
Meanwhile, you gritted your teeth in anger as you watched Macaque get hurt. You weren't going to allow this to happen, you were going to get out and help your friends no matter what it takes. You were close to free yourself, only a few minutes and you will gain control.
