MACAQUE WATCHED in awe as you ate the tenth bowl of noodles with delight. He was shocked by your wild appetite. If you continue like this, you will finish the food supply he and the brotherhood had.
You sighed in satisfaction and put the bowl down on the table, "That was delicious, you're a good cook! Thank you for the food, Macaque." You complimented him, giving him a big happy smile. Macaque had a small blush on his face which you found really cute, "I can't believe Macaque was such a shy bean in the past, he is so adorable!" You squealed in your head with a pink hue on your cheeks.
"No problem, are you still hungry?"
"Uh, this will suffice. Trust me, my appetite is very big and I don't get full quickly."
Macaque sweatdropped at your statement, but decided not to question it, "Do you and Monkey King live here alone?" You asked him out of blue, blinking your green eyes. You noticed that the amount of food supplement was more than just for two people plus the table you sat on was suitable for at least six people. The shadow monkey was surprised by your question, "No, our brothers live with us." He answered your question. You tilted your head to the side with confusion, "Brothers? Mac has more monkey siblings?" You thought as you looked up, imagining more monkeys that look like Wukong and Macaque.
You were about to open your mouth and ask him again when you saw some people approaching from the corner of your eyes. You saw Wukong, Azure Lion, DBK, an elephant, and a bird? You noticed that the Bull King looked different and a bit... younger, "Hm? I never thought we have guests." Azure spoke up with a friendly smile. You immediately understood that this must be Azure from the past, this could be the reason why he didn't recognize you.
"Ah! Yeah! This girl here seemed to know Macaque, but I don't know how." Wukong spoke up as he put his hands on your shoulders. The bird-like dude tsk-ed and crossed his arms, "To believe that Macaque is seeing a human girl, such a waste of time." They spat with a mocking tone, making Macaque scuff.
"Peng, there's not need to-..." The elephant was cut off when you suddenly stood up.
"I believe it's inappropriate to treat guests that way." You stated, putting on a brave face. You already hated this bird's guts and behavior, it was obvious that he was bullying your Macaque. Azure cleared his throat to get your attention, "I apologize for this, but if you're Macaque's friend, you're welcome to stay." He said with polite manner, better than Peng. You smiled at him and nodded in approval which made Azure smile back and proceed to introduce himself and the others.
"I assume you already Know Wukong, the Monkey King. I'm Azure Lion, this is the Demon Bull King, Peng, and Yellowtusk."
"It's nice to meet you all, I'm Y/N Kanroji." You introduced yourself, bowing respectfully. Oddly enough, you felt some ominous feeling toward Azure, Peng, and Yellowtusk. Something didn't seem right.
-TIME SKIP-
You were alone in the forest, pacing back and forth alone. You couldn't shake this feeling off you, it was just lingering around them. You felt like Azure had done this on purpose... Sending you, Mei, and Mk to look for your friends and Monkey King to perhaps trap you here because there seemed to be no way to get out. However, these were just doubts, unconfirmed suspicions.
"You seem to have something running in your mind."
You turned your head and saw Macaque approaching you. You immediately forced a smile on your face and shook your head, "It's nothing, just something silly." You lied, hoping that he would believe it. Surprisingly, he didn't push it further and approached you. He looked bothered, "Is everything alright, Macaque?" You asked him with a hint of concern. The monkey sighed and nodded his head, "No, nothing is alright." He trailed off, averting his gaze away from you.
"I don't know why, but I feel like I can tell you this to get it off my chest, Y/N."
"You can tell me anything, I'm willing to listen."
Macaque took a moment to think of how to tell you this before opening his mouth, "You see, we are planning something..." The shadow monkey started to tell you everything about their plan of attacking the Celestial Realm and how they wanted to defeat the Jade Empror who was very powerful and not easy to fight. Macaque didn't want them to do this because he was certain this will fail and cause them to probably receive a severe punishment, "... All I'm worried about is Wukong. They had put him as the leader of this task. He will be the one to get hurt and I don't want him to suffer from this." He confessed, still keeping his eyes away from you.
You petted his shoulder as you had a sympathetic look. You didn't know how to help him out or what to do. This wasn't your problem and you had nothing to do with them. It was obvious that they had been planning this entire attack on the Celestial Realm. What else could you do to help him?
"Did you try to talk to them?"
"I did and they just said that I'm just overthinking it."
"What about Monkey King? You two are best friends, right? Try to let him reconsider."
"I don't know... He seemed to agree with them."
"Talk to him alone. Tell him your reasons and he might change his mind. Don't let the others be with you two." You encouraged him, clenching your fists together in front of your chest. Macaque stared at you for a few moments before he chuckled, "I will try this. Thanks for the help." He told you genuinely which made you feel glad that you were of a help to him. Macaque's smile then turned soft as he put his hand on your shoulder, "You look like a good person, Y/N. I... I wish I had met you before." His sentence was enough to make your cheeks turn red.
"Oh my god! Is that an indirect confession? He is such a softie!!! But wait, I'm already dating him, I mean the other Macaque."
"Anyway, I must go and talk to Wukong. He is alone right now. I will see you later."
You snapped out of your thoughts and nodded, "O-Okay... Good luck!" As you said that, Macaque smiled again and nodded his head before leaving. Meanwhile, you stood there dumbfounded, still bewitched by Macaque's soft personality. You couldn't help but admire such side of him. You still wondered what happened to change him like this. It was still unknown... for now.
You had to figure it out, but you needed to find a way to return to your friends first and soon too.

AUTHOR NOTE: Hello! I hope you enjoyed the chapter. So, I wanted to share an idea with you guys. I was planning to let Y/N see Macaque's death and discover the reason why he had changed. Also, I want to make Y/N the one to save everyone from the scroll's protective curse and then Tang, Mei, Pigsy, and Sandy use their weapons to keep the curse down before Mk destroy it. Let me know if you agree with these ideas because I want Y/N do something like Mitsuri when she fought Upper Moon 4.
