YOU SAT OUTSIDE Wukong's house with Macaque, waiting for Mk to return with his friends. You had a sulky expression on your face as you so desperately wanted to go and help him, but Macaque didn't allow it.
You huffed and put your hands on your cheeks, "Why didn't you let me go with him, Macaque?" You whined childishly. Macaque rolled his eyes and looked at you, "I think you had enough adventures for one day." He told you with a nonchalant tone. You whined again and leaned on his side with a pout on your face, you just hated standing aside and let others fight alone. You had to help your friends.
"This is not an excuse, Mac!"
Macaque let out a sigh and held your shoulders, "Look Plums, I don't want you to get hurt or sealed again. I was really worried when I heard that you got sealed in that scroll. Mk can handle himself for now. Until we get a plan to deal with Azure, you will sit still and do nothing." He explained rather firmly, looking directly at your green eyes. You averted your gaze away from him, feeling bad that you had worried the person you love dearly. Another sigh left Macaque's lips and put his hand on your face.
"Hey, don't be sad. I'm doing this for your safety. I don't want you to hate me for that."
"I would never hate you... I'm just sorry for worrying you and acting like kid."
Macaque chuckled and petted your head, "It's alright, bright eyes. I know how good your intentions are." Upon hearing what you said, a smile tugged on your lips. Suddenly, a golden orb appeared and then Mk and his friends landed down. You abruptly stood up when you saw them all hug Mk. Without wasting time, you rushed to them, "Everyone!" You called out, making them all look at you, "I'm glad you're all alright!" You finished, reaching the group.
Mei ran to you and hugged you tightly, "Oh, Y/N! I'm so happy to see you! You don't know what happened to us in the Celestial Realm!" She exclaimed dramatically while you petted her back as way to comfort her. Meanwhile, Macaque stood there with a proud smile on his face.
"You fools. We should have stood and fought to the end."
You all turned around, seeing Ne Zha barely able to walk due to his battle injuries. Mk looked at the Lotus Prince with a serious expression, "We didn't stand a chance against them. If we'd stayed, it wouldn't have made a difference." The boy firmly declared.
"So you're just gonna stand aside and let Azure become the new Jade Emperor?!"
"There's only one person who ever stood against the Jade Emperor and lived to tell the tale!"
Mk pulled out a broken piece of the scroll, the one that contained Monkey King himself.

Everyone sat outside, watching those ominous cracks appear in the sky. You were bandaging Ne Zha who was horribly injured, so you had to take care of him.
"Uh... at least it's pretty?" Mei broke the silence, trying to lighten the mood.
"Oh, sure. If you ignore the strong "end of the world" vibes." Pigsy added.
You sweatdropped at their attempts to create a light subject, but Ne Zha wasn't happy... like at all. He took this so seriously, "The Pig Man is right." He spoke up, making you, Mei, and Pigsy pay attention to him, "Azure underestimated the control it takes to wield the power of the Jade Emperor. If we don't stop him, that power is gonna tear this world apart." Ne Zha hissed in pain. You stopped what you were doing and looked at him, "I'm sorry if I tightened the bandage, Mr. Lotus Prince." You apologized sincerely. Ne Zha shook his head, "It's alright. Monk, the scroll. Have you repaired it?" He then shifted his gaze to Tang and Sandy who were fixing the piece with a ducttape.
"One repaired piece of magical bamboo scroll comin' up!" Tang exclaimed as he proudly held a horribly fixed piece. Ne Zha got really frustrated by this, "You can't be serious. There's no way that'll hold!" He yelled angrily.
"There ain't nothin' a bit of tape can't fix." Sandy assured cheerfully.
Mk then joined you all, "Alrighty! Now to jump in there and find Monkey King!" He stated, earning a glare from the Lotus Prince. Mei then grabbed Mk and whispered something to him that you didn't really figure out. Eventually, Mk had settled on going into that piece of the scroll and look for Wukong, "We have to try. He'd do the same, for any of us." Mk stated with confidence, seemingly motivated. This was what you liked about Mk, his motivation!
"You're right. It's worth the attempt." Ne Zha agreed after letting out a sigh.
"Ugh, can't believe I'm sticking my neck out for Wukong. Again." Macaque grumbled as he appeared beside Mk. The boy stared at your boyfriend with shock, "Wha?! You're coming too?!" He exclaimed. Macaque let out a deep sigh, "Yeah, if he's lost in broken memories from his past, then who better to tag along than someone who was there for some of it? And besides, your knowledge of the Journey to the West seems pretty selective." The dark furried monkey confronted Mk, looking away.
Mk's eyes widened and he gasped before putting his arm around Macaque's shoulders, "What— You know what? Your criticism is harsh but fair. Alright, LE'GO!"
With that, Tang prepared to teleport them into the scroll, "Be careful you two!" You exclaimed and waved your hand. Macaque gave you one last smile before the ink from the scroll consumed them. You sighed and went to Ne Zha, "Um... Mr. Lotus Prince, do you mind if I asked you about something?" You politely asked him. The prince looked at you with puzzlement, but he he nodded nevertheless.
