I stared at him with wide eyes.

He quirked his eyebrow asking what.

I could still hear the song but his lips weren't moving an inch.

He nodded his head negatively and pointed towards the speaker.

"Oh" I said realizing the source of the sound.

"Isko bhi mere dil ki bath samajh agayi, par shayad jisko samajhna chahye wo anjaan hai"

Anjaan mai nahi, tum is bath se ho ke mera dil kuch aur hi kehta hai I wanted to say.

But I didn't. I was back to#AvoidConversationSpree.

He cleared his throat and said "Emotional batein bahut hogayi, ab humein khana order kar lena chahye. What would you like to have?"

"Anything on the menu thats Veg"

"Tab to mujhe menu ki har cheez order karni padegi. Kyunki yahan par sirf Veg hi serve hotha hai"

Oh so he had got me to a veg restaurant!

"Chinese then"

"FYI again this restaurant serves only Chinese food that is vegetarian"

So he knows I love Chinese.

"Only veg Chinese restaurants bhi hote hain? I never knew" I voiced my doubt.

"Mujhe bhi nahi patha tha, until I discovered this one. Mehnat bahut lagi ise dhundne me. Mai chahta tha ke tumhe aisi jagah le jaun jahan tum poori tarah enjoy kar sako"

"Thanks" I was genuinely touched by this gesture.

"So shall we order? You must choose because mujhe Vegetarian khane ka, moreover Chinese cuisine ka koi idea nahi hai"

"Apko Chinese pasand nahi?"

"Not much"

"To phir hum kisi aur jagah chale jathe. Ye zaroori nahi hai ke hum mere pasand ka hi khana khayein"

"The rule applies to me as well. I mean zaroori ye bhi nahi ke hum meri pasand ka khana khayein. Waise bhi ye maaine nahi rakhta ke aap kya kha rahe ho, maaine ye rakhta hai ke aap kiske sath kha rahe ho. Jab sath me khanewala dil ke khareeb ho to jala-sada khana bhi tasty lagta hai"

"Mujhe lagta hai ke apko movies keliye dialogues likhna chahye. I am sure ke those movies are going to be a hit"

"Aur mujhe lagta hai ke tumhe mere sath zyada waqt guzarna chahye. I am sure ke my life is going to be a superhit"

"We should order the food now" I said avoiding the topic.

"Sure" he said handing me the menu.

We ordered the food and ate in silence. I had said Iyers donot talk while eating.

It was a lie of course. It was getting difficult for me to push him away.

He was being very sweet to me and it pained to turn him down every time.

I did not deserve his love and he did not deserve the heartbreak.

I could not tell him directly to not keep hopes, so I used the lamest excuse possible to avoid conversation altogether.

We drove back home.

He stopped near the entrance and said"Tumhare sath bitaye ye Char pal meri zindagi ke sabse khoobsurat Char pal honge"
