Part 27: Assured of My Choice!

"Akka now I realize ke apka decision bilkul sahi hai"

Did she just say that!?

I was greatly relieved.

However sure you are of your decision, sometimes you need a second person to affirm the same, you are then assured that what you have decided is right.

I had got one such affirmation from my lil sis Mihika and that meant a lot to me.

I smiled wholeheartedly.

I was overwhelmed.

She smiled too and asked "Jaanna nahi chahogi ke mujhe aisa kyun lagta hai?"

"Hmmm" I nodded. Of course, I wanted to know the reason behind this sudden declaration.

"Wahan dekho Akka" she said pointing towards the stage "Jo insan itna kamyab hone ke bawajood apne rishton ko nahi bhoola aur apne behen aur dost pe jaan nichavar karta hai, mai yaqeen ke sath keh sakti hun ke wo har rishte ko bakhoobi nibhayega. Wo apka sath kabhi nahi chodenge Akka. You are very lucky to have him in your life Akka"

"Thanks Miku"

"I am sorry Akka for misguiding you earlier. I regret ke maine apko aise insan ko dhoka dene par majboor kiya jo pyar me kabhi dhoka nahi de sakta"

"Aur shayad pyar me dhoka bardashth bhi nahi kar sakta" Reality hit me hard. 

"Patha nahi Raman is bath pe kaise react karenge ke maine unhe dhoka diya hai. Kahin wo mera sath chod to nahi denge na Miku" I held her hand tightly as I was scared of the consequences.

Mihika did not say a word, she just squeezed my hands.

She did not have anything to say I guess or was she scared of the consequences too?

Another round of heartbeat marathon started.

If my heart beats at this rate every now and then, my life span is definitely going to decrease by at least 10 years.

"Wow! This is just amazing. Isn't it friends?" The voice of compere broke my trance.

"Aaj tak maine bahut Valentines Events host kiye hain. Par honestly aaj maine asli Valentine's day manate hue dekha hai. Aaj Mr. Bhalla ne pyar ko ek nayi paribhasha di hai. Pyar sirf wo nahi jo do premiyon ke beech hotha hai, balke pyar wo hai jo apne rishtedaron aur doston se bhi hotha hai. I can gladly say this is the best Valentine's Day of my life jahan pyar ka har rishta celebrate ho raha hai"

There was a huge round of applause.

The trio group hugged with Raman in the centre and Abhi and Simmi on his either sides.

"I am sure aaj yahan baithi har ek ladki yahi chahegi ke Raman jaisa Valentine use mil jaye to uski zindagi savar jaye. Am I right gals?????"

"Yeahhh" The girls screamed.

My stomach churned when the girls around screamed and ogled at Raman.

Am I jealous???? If yes, why???

"That's great! But sorry gals jaisa ke Raman sir ne shuru me kaha ke Valentine's day sirf dilon ke judne ka din nahi balki dilon ke tootne ka din bhi hai, Mujhe aap sabka dil thodna padega"

Was I one among those whose heart is going to break today?

"Kyunki Raman Sir ne apni Valentine dhoond li hai"

"Nooo" the girls screamed in distress.

"Sorry for the heartbreak gals...Coz  now it's time to introduce the lucky lady of the day"

I was not sure whose name was going to be announced.

I knew I was that lucky lady he was talking about. Obviously I am Raman's fiance and technically I am his Valentine too.

But what if Raman had changed his mind after listening to the voice message?

What if he had chosen someone else as his valentine?

That thought somehow made me nauseous. It didn't settle quite well in me.

"It is none other than..." The compere did not complete the sentence. I wondered why.

"Ruk jao"
