My grandmother.
From the time I've known her, she's always been a calm person. Always kind and loving to others.
But at this moment, she looks pissed. I've never seen her lose her shit before—even though I've always been curious about how she'd look and sound if she got pissed.
I told her why I came to her house.
"Bunny, you don't have to put yourself our there so you can see me,we can always video call." She said, trying so hard to keep calm and be rational.
Anybody could tell she was struggling.
"Mum and Isaac will find a way to make me do what they want regardless, so if doing it is what I need to have a little bit of peace being here with you, I say I should do it."
"I didn't know that's what you go through bunny. We can fight this."
"We stand no chance, they are very influential." I said while she nodded. She knew I was right and so she didn't press it.
We contacted Dr. Halls after agreeing on not telling them about her.
Ding-dong.
Funny shit.
The doorbell doesn't actually make that sound.
"I'll take it." Hailey offered.
I already knew who it was.
"Victoria, honey, I was worried about you. Are you okay?"
Crap and cap.
I hugged Grandma, saying goodbye because I knew it was time to leave.
I passed mum and went to her car without saying a word. I opened the fucking door and sat my ass on the over expensive leather seat.
She joined me some minutes later and we drove off to my prison and her home.
It took us about 6 minutes to get there. Isaac was outside, obviously waiting for us.
I got out of the car and went inside without sparing Isaac a glance.
"Vicki!"
I turned to where the squeaky little boy's voice was coming from.
He ran up to me and hugged my legs.
He's adorable.
"Hey Jake,"
"I was worried about you, I thought the night monsters ate you."
"I taste like chilli so they don't like me."
He chuckled and held my hand.
Ohh I love my brother.
But trust me, he's not all cute and dashing. The little virus can be really annoying when he wants to.
"Let's play pilots. Don't say no, please." He pouted as he spoke. Trying hard to form the puppy eyes.
Adorably manipulative. I see.
"Jakie I want to sleep." I complained.
"Only weak pilots sleep."
"Fine, I'm only playing for an hour."
He did his victory dance while we went to his room.
We ended up playing for four hours. I guess I was enjoying the shit more than the actual kid.
We went to the kitchen to steal some cookies but only found brownies.
Well, jackpot.
We were being sneaky the whole way there while holding plastic guns and knives.
