"So you're telling me that he appeared out of nowhere with his car and asked if you wanted a ride?"

"Well he did appear out of somewhere and that's my house."

"What was Christian doing at your house?"

"He wa-" shittttt.......there's literally no way of saying this without actually revealing my secret about who my family is. I guess I should have gone with the appeared out of no where.

"Look lexi, I've answered enough of your questions.......I think it's high time we paid attention to the game."

Before lexi could even agree (probably disagree but it's important to look at the positives in life ), the captain of the sunside academy basketball team scores and the crowd goes wild. Many people shout out his name, cheerleaders bounce around raising their pom-poms high-especially his number one fan girls, Michaela and Queen bee. His teammates pat his back in celebration but he does one thing that puts me on lexi's curiosity target list.

He fucking locks eyes with me.

I've never been one to enjoy games but this one was somehow different. I don't know if it's because it was the first time I was actually enjoying something with my friends or because the captain was stupid hot, but I stood up and cheered with everyone else.

As I settle into my seat in the bleachers, the vibe of the basketball court hits differently. The rhythmic squeak of sneakers against the polished floor, the lit cheers of the crowd - it all seems to fade away as my focus lands on Christian.

Again.

He moves with a vibe and precision that has me shaken, his every move calculated and on fleek. With each dribble and shot, he flexes a confidence that is impossible to ignore. Despite the intensity of the game, his focus remains lit, his determination evident in every play.

I finally get why a lot of people are obsessed with him.

As the game goes down, I find myself getting deeper into it, my eyes staying glued to Christian. With each successful shot, my heart swells with pride, knowing he is giving his all on the court. I cheer louder than I ever thought possible, my voice blending with the squad around me. I didn't know I could shout so much until today.

I take a couple of selfies with my friends and pictures of the court in general- pictures of Christian. At this point, I don't know if I'm supporting the team as a whole or just Christian-maybe I am his secret fan girl now. To be honest, who wouldn't be?

When the final buzzer goes off and the game ends in a W, I can't contain the smile that spreads across my face. Christian's eyes lock onto mine in the crowd, and for a second, it's just us. Okay that is such a cringe thing to say. I shouldn't be romanticising him in the first place, he's a freaking player and I'm not talking about basketball. He literally fucking kissed me without my permission( let's pretend I didn't kiss him back), ignored me then asked me if I thought the kiss was a sign for us to be husband and wife.

Yepppppp......I just reminded myself of the reasons I should be hating him. I stop cheering and pull lexi with me back to our seats.

"I've had fun, thanks."

"Never thought I'd live to see the day where you said thanks to me, and believe me, I don't like it."

"Whatever bitch."

"You know, Christian is very talented."

"Yeah I could see that." I can tell she wants to add more so I let her.

"He plays really well.......but it's like he was doing extra today."

"What do you mean?" I ask with a mouth full of potato chips.
