Lafontaine's POV

"I already said no." Danny huffed sitting on the bed hooked to the wall of the cell.

We had gone back down to the pit as a group to convince Danny to sacrifice her immortality for us. And I know that kinda sounds like a dick move, but you know what else is? Purposely killing two of your close friends and supporting the end of the world!

"Do you not understand, Danny? Carmilla and Laura are going to die." Mel told her.

"Just Laura." Danny shot back.

"And you're okay with that?? After all she's done for you? I get wanting to kill Carmilla MAYBE but Laura? That's just doing her a disservice." I said.

"I'm not giving up my life for that nerd and her vampire girlfriend." Danny seethed.

"Well, you already did, Danny." JP said. "Technically you should be dead right now."

"And you should be too!" Danny replied.

"At least he's using his life and intelligence wisely to help people whereas you went from saving Laura's life to letting her die. Does that make any sense??" I ranted.

We all started talking and arguing at the same time.

"Guys. Let me take this. Let me talk to her. Alone." Kirsch suggested.

We all looked at each other in agreement.

"Scream if you need help." Mel said to him as we walked away to give him a bit of privacy.

Kirsch's POV

"Hey Danny." I said.

"What do you want, Kirsch?" Danny asked.

"Danny, I like you a lot. I like you because I admire you for the things you do, the confidence you have, and the way you go out of your way for others. And I'm sorry you died. I'm sorry they killed you. You should've never have had to go through that and I'm sorry. I wish there was something I could've done. But we live in this world right now that's so complicated and confusing and so freaking weird." I told her as she let out a laugh. "I don't know if there's a way for you to get your life back. Maybe there is and we can find it. But I just don't get how you're supporting the end of the world as we know it right now and that is really not cool. And I mean, even Carmilla gave up all the crap for Laura because even she knew it was right. It took 300 years for her to realize that, but you know what's right and wrong. You fought for right and wrong, and you have a chance to save a mortal life. That won't make you mortal, but it'll show the hero you always have been. And I know you can be. So please just help us. Help us save the world, and I will personally make sure we do everything to get your mortal life back."

Danny was silent as I waited for her answer.

"Fine. I'll do it, but this doesn't mean I like you back." Danny replied.

"Yes!" I pumped my fist to my chest.

"Guys come back!"

They all came sprinting back to Danny's cage.

"Are you okay did something happen?" Mel basically patted me down frantically.

"No I'm fine, she said she'll do it."

"Yes!" Mel pumped her fist to her chest.

"Upset me and I'll change my mind." Danny said as JP let her out of the cage.

Lafontaine's POV

We got back to my dorm, and started prepping for the prophecy stating the un-spell extravaganza...too much, I know. We laid Danny on a blanket on the ground and tried reading the spell.
