Laura's POV

A few hours later, I fluttered open my eyes as my head was still buried into Carm's chest. She must've noticed immediately because she held my head to her chest, running her hands through my hair.

"Good not morning, sleepyhead." She chuckled, placing a kiss on my head.

"Mmm." I groaned.

"How are you feeling? Are you feeling any better, Creampuff?" She asked.

"Mmm, yeah." I said looking up at her.

She smiled as we kissed each other softly.

We laid there for a few moments until I realized that this was my last night, and I had to spend my last moments with Carmilla wisely.

"Carm?"

"Hmm?" She looked at me.

"Can we have a 5 course dinner tonight with champagne and dance together?" I asked. "Please."

I gave her the pouty lip and puppy dog eyes.

"Of course, my love. That sounds amazing." She smiled, kissing me.

We both eventually got up and started getting dressed and ready. I took longer per usual and Carmilla started making dinner.

I set the blanket up with the makeshift books for the table. I got the Elvis Presley record and put it in the record player as it scratched and started off by playing "Jailhouse Rock". Carmilla walked over in her leather pants and leather jacket with the champagne glasses, the champagne, bread and butter, and shrimp scampi with spaghetti.

"The chocolate ice cream is in the fridge, don't worry." Carmilla winked as she putting everything down.

I smiled as she placed the utensils and napkins and started to pour the champagne.

"To the end of the world and to the love of my life, Laura Hollis." Carmilla toasted.

"To the end of the world and to my fiancé and love of my life, Carmilla Karnstein." I toasted as our glasses clinked.

She chuckled. "Are you trying to one up me, Hollis?"

I was spreading the butter on my bread as I answered. "Maybe, Ms. Karnstein."

I stuffed the bread in my mouth as we kept eating.

"Hungry for more?" Carmilla teased as I put the  bite of shrimp scampi on my fork in my mouth.

"Are you?" I responded.

"Mmm, answering a question with a question. So mysterious."

"Please, Carmie, we don't want get anything on the table, do we?"

Carm's eyes widened as I winked.

"You are one ambitious girl, aren't you, Laura?"

I took some food off her plate, eating it right it front of her face. "You could say that."

"Two can play that game." Carmilla took food off my plate.

I put some food on my fork and put it in front of her. "Want some?"

"Do I?" Carmilla said eating the food right off my fork.

Carmilla filled her fork with food. "Open wide."

I smirked and I ate it right off her fork.

"Let's try to last till the end of the night, aye?" I suggested.

She laughed as I laughed with her.

"I've seemed to have changed you, shattered your innocence." Carmilla said.

"It's a given when you take it from me, Ms. Karnstein."

We both laughed.

"I love you." Carmilla said.

"I love you." I replied.

We finished our champagne and our food and suddenly "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" started playing on the record.

"May I have this dance?" Carmilla asked, offering me her hand.

I took it. "You may, my fair maiden."

She smiled as she helped me up and put her hands on my waist as I put my arms around her neck.

"For I can't help, falling in love with you..." Elvis sang as Carmilla spun me and pulled me in as I buried my head into her chest as we swayed to the beat.

"Like a river flows, surely to the sea, darling so it goes..." Carmilla's voice was so pretty and gentle and softly sung.

"Some things, you know, are meant to be..." Carmilla lifted my head with her hand on the side of my face on my cheek as I rested my head in her head, letting her hold the weight of it as we looked into each other's eyes.

"Take my hand," Carmilla intertwined our hands as we keep swaying, harmoniously to the beat.

"Take my whole life too." Carmilla kissed my hand with the gorgeous engagement ring she bought me and looked back into my eyes.

"For I can't help falling in love with you..." I rested my head on her shoulder as we kept swaying.

"For I can't help falling in love with you." Carmilla kissed my head as she kissed my neck and buried her head into my shoulder and pulled me close.

"I love you with all my heart, Carmilla." I told her.

...quite literally.

"I love you with the entirety of my soul, Laura." She responded.

After quite a few moments, we lifted up our heads and kissed passionately as it quickly became deeper and we started gently taking off each other's clothes until we were on the couch and she was on top of me, going at a slow thoughtful pace until we collapsed into each other.

She kissed my head as she laid her head onto my chest kissing it.

"I love you."

"I love you."

...I said, knowing those love marks I received and gave would be the last I would ever have.
