Chapter 26

The date was the best thing in my life, I couldn't stop thinking of her after it. I do really like Carter.

"Are you okay? You've been this way after you came home last night." My father observes.

"I'm just fine." I smile at him and Becky looks at me suspiciously.

"Is it that human girl Christina?" Becky snarls at me.

"Nope." I smirk at her making her glare at me. It's Carter, she is so perfect even if a hunter.

"It has to be a girl, why else would he looks like he's got puppy love?" Becky tells our father.

"So let him fall in love, he will only marry within the pack anyways." My father says calmly. What if I don't want to? I will never say it out loud with knowing what my father would do to me.

"Thank you father I'm going to go to school." I say shouldering my bag and basically running out the front door. I run as fast as I can to get to school. I must see Carter and tell her how I feel.

"You are different that is for sure." Michael says to Christina who is laughing. What is going on?

"Isaac?" Carter basically runs to me. "Save me from them, they are the worst to be around." She pleads with me. This is my chance to be alone with her.

"Heck yeah lets go somewhere safe." I take her hand and guide her to the library. We go the back corner and sit down next to each other.

"Thank you. I couldn't handle their puns anymore." She groans silently. You look beautiful today as always.

"Well I'm glad to be of assistance." I say in a fake British accent.

She giggles lightly before blushing, "You are really growing on me." You have grown on me as yell and now I think I'm in...

"I really like you." I blurt out. I look deep into her green eyes.

"I...I-"my lips make contact with hers. She kisses back with need and want and I do the same. I can't get enough of her.

"Sorry." I blush once I move away.

"I think I like you too." She blushes looking down at her hands. Well this is perfect.

"Would you like to go on another date to make sure?" I ask her.

"Yes, very much so." She nods her head to emphasize her point. I can't believe it, the girl I like actually likes me back. Can this be a dream? Please don't let this be a dream.
