Chapter 25: Knight's return

We hide at the huge rock after Salvia told us to run away, I'm still worried about them but I need to keep myself up no matter what happen, they are strong I know that but someday eventually they will disappear as they are may immortals but they can still be disappear in existence literally.

"Everything is fine I believe in my knights." I told everyone to calm them down, Mila is beside me so I'm not worried for other monsters to attack us now.

"Should we move along right now while they still fighting the legendary beast?" One of the woman ask me, I'm sure they are impatient because of the beast that we witness.

"No, we should wait for them here, first I believe in them that they will defeat that monster, My Knights are strong second their are still tons of monster out there waiting for us, Mila can protect me but how about you?" I ask them glaring at their incompetent, they cannot argue and keep their mouth shut.

"But Master, I'm sorry to doubt your words but what if they will be defeated?" Kim also worried ask me, I already have that in my mind but I cannot help but have this feeling that Salvia and others might able to win against that monster, they might not defeat that but at least they can drive it away. I will gamble in that low chance of possibility.

"Don't worry Kim, I will do something if ever they will be defeated." It's a bluff, I have nothing except the barrier of Mila, I just want them to calm down.

We waited and waited with this build up anticipation, I actually started to pray despite me in my past life don't believe on any gods as my life is a living hell.

"Haa, My heart is about to explode." I said as i feel the relief. "Did you manage to drive away the monster?" I ask them then they got this wry smile on their face then I notice that the only two of them return... No way. "Whe-where is Salvia and Hellebore?" My heart racing, Salvia is the type of girl to sacrifice herself so other can leave... Don't tell me?

"Ah, don't worry Miss Kyrie, Salvia and other's just dismantling the giant monster saying that she wanted to give you a present to commemorate of us achieve an impossible feat, they just send me and Viola here so we can make sure that you are all safe." Dhilia smile at me and make sure that I don't need to worry, the other are also sighing with relief after they hear the report.

"Thank goodness, Also good work everyone, I can't believe that you manage to defeat that formidable foe." I said to them praising their hard work.

"Yes, thank you, we are here to protect you with our life Miss Kyrie." Viola and Dhilia kneel in front of me, it's kinda embarrassing and i'm still not use to it but I honor their loyalty.

Soon enough Salvia and others are back and same as before I praise them and they thank me, Salvia is just exaggerating as she also kiss the back of my hand as always, of course Mila also have a comment but because we are in celebration we forget about that and now we have a feast.

"This monster is edible as we try it already, its tinder and juicy." Matilda said and so we feast on the meat of the monster they slay, I still dont believe she actually try it tho, also they carry the eye ball of the giant snake like monster, they only manage one as the other got stab by Matilda's pole arm, they also bring the Magic stone of the beast, they said that every beast have this as this is the source of their life and powers, they can be use as catalyst to obtain a powerful magic item, their is a magic sword in the Kingdom that been forge using the magic stone of a dragon and it's said that whoever can handle it's power can rule the kingdom despite not having a royal blood.

Matilda reenact on how they manage to defeat the monster while we feast on the monster meat, the other children including Killy got amaze and excited on what they hear, they already forgot the traumatic event that happened in the village and now they act like a normal child, still this meat, yeah its tender and juicy but it's lack of impact, like salt and other spices, I really wanted to eat something delicious but I can't really complain, even the bandits with tons of currency still cannot have their own spices because for some reason its more pricy than a single horse which is a single horse like monster is equivalent to a single normal house you can get in the commoners area as Salvia teaches me the currency here.

The currency here is basic like you can see in any novel story about reincarnation, the lowest is copper and the highest is gold, they don't have platinum as it have a magical power and they dont just waste it for it to become just a coins.

"I'm still got surprise by that sudden manifestation of the armor and sword of yours Salvia." Salvia who are next to me despite having no appetite to eat the meat she still want to try it just for the taste and the nostalgic feelings.

"Hmmm... I see, I'm glad that I can give you such power, please protect me with that power of yours." I said and give back a smile.

"Yes of course Milady, anything for you." She kneels at me again but this time I didn't let her kiss my hand as I swiftly bring my hands toward her head that as much as for her surprise then I lean back to her and whisper to her ears.

"You are my most beloved Knight." She got shock in her face and I only give her a smile her face started to get red like her beautiful hair.
