Chapter 21: Uncertainty

"Matilda, please stick at the formation and don't venture too far." Shobu the one sided blade user shouted on Matilda as she jump too far away from the monster they attacking.

"My bad, I'm still not use with my new strength." Apologized Matilda goes back to attack this huge dinosaur like monster that we encounter while we are venturing to go outside this huge and thick forest.

Viola in other hand keeps producing some wind magic that cuts deep into the monsters thick, the monster howl everytime it skin got cut gouging some large wound on its body. Dhilia despite a healer is in front of Viola protecting her from any attack with her big tower shield and attacking with a large mace if opportunity is given.

After a few minutes of battle the monster finally fell down the ground when Shobu cut down the head of the monster with sweep swing of her one sided blade.

"Good work guys, you really show me why they call you the strongest troop with your coordinations and prowess it really reassuring to have you as my guards." I praise them as the rest of the party move out to the clearing so we can move on, I want to see the prowess of the knights I just acquire so I let Hellebore and Mila to seat back for now to see how they fight while I already see the power of Salvia she also didn't join.

"My sisters are really strong and I'm proud of them." Said by Salvia with a smug look at her face, I find it funny so I chuckle a little.

As we continue our trekking in this forest we still don't see the entrance or exit of this maze like big trees and our adventurer guide here state that we still far away from civilization, how far is this goes on? Also Matilda said that this part of the forest is swarm by some big and ferocious monster like the Dinosaur like monster we just fought.

We stop for now and take a break while we eat our lunch as the children are getting tired and hungry, by the way my undead companion doesn't get hungry or they don't have appetite to eat some human food they say, of course they can still taste the food as Mila already tried but human food for them is not appetizing and they don't get appeased by eating it but Mila said to me that everytime they kill a monster somehow they feel some energy entering their body so in theory the food that they can consume are the souls of the living that they slay.

As Kim serve me some food doing her maid job the knights are doing some small practice as they still not used with their new found body, no matter how much they move they don't feel exhausted or no matter what kind of wound they receive they don't feel it, same goes with Mila and I assume Hellebore has the same feelings too.
I look at Killy in my side as she still eat despite the others doesn't feel the appetite of the food, she look at me too and smile at me cutely so I pat her head and she close her eyes to feel the sensation.

"Killy how about you join them with their practice?" I ask her.

"Is master gonna like Killy if she become strong?" She said tilting her head.

"Of course, I much appreciated it, don't you want to protect me too right?"

"Then Killy will practice too and become stronger." And so she jump and head her way towards Salvia.

"Uhm... Miss Kyrie." I look at my back as Viola calls me in an awkward way, she is a quiet girl with a strict demeanour but in actually she is so polite.

"Yes, Miss Viola." I ask her with a smile on my face.

"Uhm... I'm still as confused of what happen to us, of course I appreciated you for reviving us despite me becoming undead but what where the futures hold us? I'm used to be human, will the human race still accept us?" I can feel the worried in her face, I kind of feel what she up to, she is a human, an aristocrat of a human supremacist kingdom but now being an undead she is being stripped of what she believes and she is now uncertain of her future or well she fits in the society? Her Ideology will change from now on, her purpose as a human being is now gone, reproducing, indulgence and happiness of being a human is not achievable now. As I was pondering of what I have to answer to this girl's uncertainty an arm coil in me and it surprise me then I see the tan skin Matilda showing her white teeth as she grin.

"Viola, I know how you feel, I'm also uncertain of what to do from now on but for now let's focus on our new duty to protect our little lass here, we have our own Knight's chivalry to fulfill. Also its not like you to have doubt, you are the intelligence of our troop."

"As we are been abandoned by the people who we swear to protect, our honor and loyalty has also been thrown away, we are now dead physically and morally and we don't belong to be with other people anymore but Milady save us from our dismay and propose us with a new goal so we should all do is fulfill our new Chivalry and become a loyal servant to our savior." Salvia taking away the arms that coiling me then kneel in front of me and grab my hand and kiss the back, I feel a heat rush towards my cheek.

As Salvia kneels at me the other Knights also kneels in front of me and Killy also do the same.

"I'm sorry for having a doubt Milady, I hope you forgive me and I will do my best to serve you." Viola as a response to Salvia and apologize to me.

"Very well, I appreciate all of you for giving me safety, I will also fulfill my role to give all of you a better place and not waste the honor that you given me. I soon will give you purpose and a life that will satisfies you all." I said with dignity.

And so with that cleared up we decide to go on our journey towards outside this maze like forest.
