THE REINCARNATED UNDEAD QUEEN

Chapter 2: Practice

Early morning same as usual, after the people have given a ration by the adult women as a breakfast I gone towards the cave, I mean I don't really want to play with other kids because as per usual they only want to bully me so I seclude myself in this cave because I want to do something that I interest, as usual I bring dead corpse of animal I find, this time its a bird.
What I'm trying to do with this animal is an experimentation, I don't really know how to conjure my magic to revive so as I put down the corpse in the rock I tried every pose I can think and nothing really happens, what I'm supposed to do? While racking my brain of what should I do I find the undead rabbit peaking in the cave so I wave my hand signaling it to come here and like a command it hops towards me and I find it cute.

"Hmmm... As I remember I raise my both hands in front of me." I try to do the same as my first manifestation of my magic and tried to put my both hands infront of me then I can feel something flowing in my hand and a black smoke emerge within my palm falling in the dead bird entering the mouth, then suddenly as the smoke in my palm subsided and the smoke clears up, the little bird stand and stay in its place like the rabbit its waiting for my command.

"Let see, can you fly and find me fruit like within this forest?" I said to the bird and then suddenly it flaps its wing and hover in the air then it look at me as if trying to tell me to follow it.

After a few minutes of walk the bird bring me to a berry bush, I know this bush as this is the fruits you can see in the village too, so I pick up taste it, its sour yet sweet so I help myself and eat as much as I can. After that I trail of following the bird to find more fruits i can eat when I realize I dont know where I am, in other words Im lost.

"What should I do? Hey bird can you bring me to my cave again?" Im panicking as Im scared because I know this world not only have small monsters but also big ones specially this forest, the adult always warn us not to venture in this thick forest. The bird look at me like it doesnt know what to do which mean it didnt know where my cave is located. I tried to steel and encourage myself, nothing to worry I will over come this, I'm already an adult even tho right now I'm so scared.

While walking aimlessly I stumble upon a gruesome scene, I see a dead body, I know this man, he is one of the villager, while he lying his dead body I can see some wound on his body, its like a big claw mark.

While I examining the body I realize that I see this corpse as if it is nothing, i don't feel sympathy nor find it disgusting but its only natural, like a part of nature.

"Hmmm... Should I use my magic?" I contemplating myself, but this is a human means it have intelligence what if it wont follow my orders like the small animals? I mean if I cannot control the animals I can still manage to kill it again but this man is an adult, he will kill me if I can't control him.

Im immersing myself of what to do with this corpse when I didn't notice that a big wolf with a meter high is looking at me, I froze because It's big and I don't know what to do. The wolf is approaching me slowly but I never see in his eyes that its trying to attack me its feels like its trying plead for help then I realize that there is a sword that have been stab in the wolf body.

As the wolf approaching me I got stumble with the corpse and made me fall in the ground, the rabbit and the bird suddenly goes in front of me as if protecting me, I feel a little joy with their courage but it become futile as the wolf lose its strength and fell down the grassy ground, it died.

"I feel bad..." I said to myself, I mean maybe the one who stab it is this villager. As I examine the wolf corpse I see so many scar, one with fresh wound and one with old one, also I notice that this is a male.

"Hmmm... Should I revive this?" I ask my companion as if they will give me an answer but I remember this one is like an intelligent creature I mean it didn't attack me instead its pleading to get help. What if I revive him and he attack me? I don't want to die this early when I just got reincarnated here but I have this guilt, I have no sympathy to the man but for this animal who just wanted to live here in this forest only to being hunted by human it give a bad taste to myself also there is a benefit for me if I revive him, and that it's sense of smell, maybe it can help me locate my way back?

Alright let's revive him, I resolve myself and started to conjure my magic.

I raise my hand in front of me and the black smoke is started to emerge from my palm and crawls in the mouth of the wolf but this time it takes a while, I'm getting exhausted and feeling to fall asleep, I cant barely stand up, it feels like its draining something inside me and i feel like my consciousness is fading, as if in queue I feel my body started to fall and I feel a soft cushion catches me.
