"Ellie" his voice dragging out her name. "Ellie wake up, c'mon sleepy head Don't waste the day sleeping" Ellie groans. "There she is. Busy day today hun"
"Mhm, Milo have you heard of this thing called...uhm...Ellie doesn't do mornings" she opens her eyes. She's laying on her side, Milo beside her, his perfect smile on his face. He moves a piece of hair that had fallen in her face and moves it behind her ear.
"there's my favorite green" he comments, Milo loves her eyes. Forest green he'd always say. "Just like the-"
"Forest" she smiles. She sits up in the familiar bed. "Cara gonna be home soon"
     "I think she hates me"
"She doesn't hate you. She's just protective"Ellie slides herself off the bed and stretches with a soft yawn. "Your lucky I love you Milo. I wouldn't be getting out of bed for just anybody" Milo smiled at the way his t-shirt fell on her. Just above her knees, due to the height difference. Her blue  pajama pants covering her legs the rest of the way.
"Mhm. Cara is too short be protective" Milo slides out of Ellie's bed. Ellie laughs. It was true, Cara is short. That doesn't mean she can't fight. Ellie had seen it. Fought someone atleast three or four inches taller, and looked stronger for her boyfriend. Ellie knows she'd do the same for her.
"Not true. She's violent violent needed" Milo gives an unbelieving look. Ellie wraps her arms around Milo. "Still tired"
"This is the last day before I fly back to Colorado. Dont waste it"
"I forgot about that. Now I'm gonna be sad"
"Well go be sad while you shower. I showered last night so I'm good" Ellie mumbles somthing as she gathers clothes and walks to her bathroom.

                              10:00A.M
Freshly showered, and dressed Ellie walks back into her bedroom. Milo  laying on her bed, scrolling through his phone. "Hey" she sits on the side of the bed, her hair still wet, but not dripping. Milo's brown eyes looked into hers.
"Hi. What do ya wanna do today?" He asks. Sitting up so they could have the conversation properly.
"It's your choice. You are the one flying to Colorado" there is an evident  sadness in Ellies voice. "I really want you to stay, but I know you can't" she sighs. Maybe she should be used to Milo having to leave at the end of their visits. She misses when they were a small ten minutes down the road. When they could walk to the other's house if they wanted to. Or maybe it was who Milo used to be that she missed. Maybe she just missed her real best friend.
"I say we go get breakfast first, then we can think about what to do" Milo suggests. Ellie nods. "But, I do need to get ready so if you'll excuse me" as Milo leaves the room. Ellie stares at the wall. Somthing felt off. But what was it? Maybe it was the distance. Sure, it had to be.
