Then you hear your brother's voice ring out, "What the fuck am I seeing?"

You scramble back to your seat. "It's not what he it looks like," You start rambling nervously. Then he starts laughing. You frown.

"Why are you laughing?" You ask him.

"Because Y/N... Of course it's not what it looks like. I mean it's you. What guy would be doing that with you?" He asks as if it's obvious.

Then Blaise chimes in, "And you're definitely not Lorenzo's type. I mean you've seen the girls he screws, right?"

You feel hurt. They basically called you ugly and made it seem preposterous that a guy like Enzo could ever want you. You hold back the tears and shove past them, leaving behind your trunk. You rush off trying to find an empty compartment to wallow in for a while.

Once you find a compartment, you cast a 'notice-me-not' spell on the door to stop any unwanted visitors from well visiting. You sit there just thinking about everything they said and you sigh. Maybe they're right and he won't notice you, but you have to give it one last try at the back to school party this weekend in the common room.

When the train stops and you're ready to get off, you realize you don't have your trunk. You groan as you remember where you left it. You head off the train to the carriages without even bothering to go back for it. You're sure Mattheo will bring it with him, he has to, he's your brother. Also if he doesn't and your parents find out, he'll be in trouble. You smirk at the thought - After all he deserves it.

A carriage stops and you get on when you hear a voice shout, "Hold up."

You turn around and see Enzo heading towards you, holding your trunk in his one hand. You stop the carriage from moving. He places your trunk and his trunk in the carriage before getting on.

"You forgot your trunk on the train," He explains before looking like a lost puppy as he apologizes on behalf of his friends, "I'm sorry about them. They're idiots honestly."

"I know," You smile at him, "I live with one of them, remember?"

He laughs. "That you do," He responds before becoming concerned, "Are you okay though? I tried looking for you on the train to make sure you're okay, but I couldn't find you."

You giggle, "I may or may not have cast a notice-me-not spell on the door."

"Sneaky," He chuckles, "I like it." Then his tone turns serious, "Are you sure you're okay?"

You shrug your shoulders, "I'm fine. Seriously, Enzo. They were just telling the truth. It's not like it's new information."

"Y/N..." He trails off and it looks like he's struggling to say something. You feel hopeful for a second but then the carriage stops and he forces a tight smile to his face before saying, "We're here."

He jumps off before offering his hand to help you down. You feel a rush run through you as you place your hand in his. After you're safely on the ground, he lets go of your hand and grabs his trunk in one hand and yours in the other. You move your hand to take your trunk from him and he shakes his head from side to side.

"I got it," He says and motions for you to lead the way. You walk all the way back to the Slytherin dorms. You stop at the bottom of the staircase for the girls' dorm. You hold your hand out to take the trunk since he can't come upstairs.

"Are you sure? I can take it up for you if you want," He offers.

"And how would you get in?" You raise your eyebrow.

"I have my ways," He smirks.

"Of course you do," You roll your eyes, "Should have known it wouldn't be your first time in the girls dormitories."

You see almost a flash of embarrassment grace his features before his usual demeanor is back although somewhat more stiffly. "Right. I'll see you at the Great Hall for supper then."

He places your trunk in front of you and walks towards his dormitory without waiting for a response. 'What was that?' You think, 'He was almost embarrassed for a second... But why would he care what I think?"

You head upstairs and unpack while overthinking the whole situation. About half an hour later, Astoria enters your shared dormitory covered in lovebites. She giggles as she tells you about her eventful train ride while you both unpack.

You can't help but feel jealous. You don't want Draco obviously, but what they have seems like so much fun. A frown graces your features as you realize you've never really had any fun - You've spent years pining for Enzo. You decide that after giving the Enzo one more shot, it's definitely time to move on and start having some fun. If he doesn't want you, surely someone does...

You and Astoria head down to the Great Hall. You sit through the sorting. Then supper comes and you're sitting directly across from Enzo since Astoria wanted to sit with Draco and Draco was sitting with his friends. You bury your head in your book since Astoria is enamored with Draco and your brother is talking to Enzo. Some time passes and you're completely absorbed in your book when Theo flicks some peas at your head. You lift your head up and glare at him.

"Quit it," You say to him sternly.

"Make me," He wiggles his eyebrows.

You giggle as you always do when Theo flirts with you. He doesn't have any intentions, he flirts with just about anything with a pulse that's single. He gets away with it because he's charming and handsome and makes girls melt. He's just as much of a fuckboy as Enzo, however his reputation isn't quite as gentlemanly so your brother has always been super protective of you when it comes to Theo.

Enzo and Mattheo both observe your interaction with Theo and frown, not that you notice. You keep conversing with Theo and they keep glancing over at the two of you. They insert themselves into the conversation and for the rest of the dinner Mattheo makes sure you feel included if only to prevent you from any one-on-one interaction with Theo.

After you're dome eating, you turn to your brother. "I need to go to the library," You tell Mattheo.

"I am not walking you to the library nerd, I know it isn't for class because we just started so you can't complain to the 'rents.  Just read one of the books you brought from home," He rolls his eyes.

"I'll take her," Theo offers, "I don't mind. I have to pick up a book too."

Mattheo looks at him suspiciously but nods thereby giving him permission to walk with you. Enzo shifts in his seat uncomfortably as the two of you leave the table and head to the Hogwarts library.
