Blake was not feeling well after breakfast. His temperature was higher than last night and he barely ate. They decided to go to Tristan's room and take a nap. Tritan slept for about two hours. It is a little past one forty-five. He slides out of the bed and uses the bathroom. He grabs the thermometer and checks Blake's temperature again. It is back up to over one hundred and one. He gets dressed and then wakes the boys up. He is gentle. They both wake up and look at him. He has clothes laid out for both of them. They will all talk. Gabe(G), Blake(B), and Tristan(T).
(T) I need you to wake up baby boys.
(G) Is everything ok?
(T) No, Blake's fever is getting higher. We are going to have to go to the urgent care. I have some clothes for yall to slide on. Do you need to use the restroom?
(B) I do.
(G) Me too.
(T) Ok, Blake go first, and Gabe get dressed.
Blake starts to get up and gets dizzy. He sits back on the bed. Tristan walks over to him.
(T) Are you ok?
(B) I got dizzy, hold one on minute. I will get up.
Tristan helps him up and helps him to the bathroom. He holds Blake up. Blake uses the bathroom and washes his hands. They walk out and Gabe is changing clothes. Tristan sits Blake on the bed and slides his pajama bottoms off. He slides some sweatpants on and he hands him a jacket to slide on. Gabe is ready. Tristan picks Blake up and carries him down the stairs. He grabs the keys, and they start towards the truck.
(T) Is it ok if we take your truck Blake?
(B) Yeah, can I lay in the back?
(G) I can get up front.
They start walking towards the truck and Emily pulls up. She walks over and looks concerned. Gabe opens the door and Tristan lays Blake in the back. Gabe gets up front. Tristan closes the door and pulls Emily(E) aside.
(E) Is everything ok?
(T) No, Blake is sick. I am taking him to the urgent care.
(E) Can I visit tonight?
(T) I will think about it. I texted you and told you I was spending a brothers day with them.
(E) Blake is not your brother.
(T) I took custody of him. He is technically my fucking child.
(E) I am sorry.
(T) You are not going to tell me how to treat them or how to spend my time.
(E) I am sorry, I miss you.
(T) I will let you know later.
(E) Can I follow you to the urgent care. I can sit in the waiting room with Gabe. I can make sure he is ok.
(T) He can go back with us.
(E) I can help.
(T) Fine, if you say one hurtful thing we are done. You better make him feel like you two are best friends.
(E) I promise.
Tristan gets in the truck and backs out. Emily follows them. Gabe asks questions. Blake is already snoring again.
(G) Why is Emily coming?
(T) She is going to sit in the waiting room with you. If she says one mean thing to you, we are done. Please be honest with me though. You, Blake, and I will also have a discussion when we get home tonight.
